Duggeh Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Fourteen?!?!? I don't think I could name fourteen condiments... Condiments: Superchargers for your tastebuds. Butter, heinz deli tomato mayo, regular helmans mayo, salad cream, marmite, colemans english mustard, morrisons wholegrain mustard, tomato paste, vampires revenge chutney, branson small chunk pickle, horseradish, reggae reggae sauce, tabasco and black pepper. They nestle well in with the ham, cheese, cucumber and red onion.
grawk Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 popped amaranth grain. It's like nano-popcorn.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Regular popcorn is awesome. Except then when I pee it smells like popcorn. And if that's several hours later, I giggle, which causes bad aim. But if you think it's rubbish, then that would make popped amaranth grain ... nano-rubbish?
Duggeh Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 Popcorn is only worth an attempt of a damn if its got a very liberal coating of toffee, otherwise its just soft, pulpy, papery, mushy, chewy, tasteless little nuggets of hollow foolishness which has to be drenched in sugar or salt to make it even remotely worthwhile. Why not just eat the sugar or the salt and save yourself the added trouble of having to extract pieces of loathsome shrapnel from inside the grooves of your teeth.

I eat unsalted, unsugared popcorn, so...I have to wonder what happened to your tastebuds, do you smoke?
Duggeh Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 No. But maybe you've got the senses of a wine taster and are able to discern some minute level of taste in popcorn.
grawk Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 I pop my own popcorn (and amaranth) in a pan, not in a microwave When I make popcorn, it's usually weird varietals, in olive oil. There's some really tasty popcorn out there, it's just not sold in big jars or zipper bags in grocery stores.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 No. But maybe you've got the senses of a wine taster and are able to discern some minute level of taste in popcorn.Pfff. There's some really tasty popcorn out there, it's just not sold in big jars or zipper bags in grocery stores.(pictures guy in an alley with a trench coat who looks like Dick Dastardly for some reason, "hey guy, wanna buy some popcoooooorn? Hmm?")

mulveling Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 5 scrambled eggs w/ salt and pepper. I've added a slice of melted american cheese to a portion of the eggs that I call the "fun" section. The other portion is my "reference" section so I don't forget what eggs are supposed to taste like when comparing to different foods.
lostonetr Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 trying not to snack on it so much, but the 'everything' trail mix from henrys, and also the raw deluxe.
Hopstretch Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Tonight. I'm, not too proud to admit, I consumed a prepackaged delicacy that came with the following advice: "Warning! Product becomes hot when cooked."

Dusty Chalk Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Yeah, but knowing you, it's probably really good. I love Stroganoff. (drums fingers, waits for someone to make the inevitable "I love strokin' off"/FTFY joke, limbers up the eye-roll muscles)
grawk Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 yah, it is pretty good. It's somethign we eat even when not eating on a budget. Most of the stuff I cook is reasonably cheap. That's why we decided to try this.
oogabooga Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I had "no name" Hamburger Helper for the first time... it was quite good for $1.49!

oogabooga Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Wait until tomorrow. Funny thing... that's what my roommate said. Hopefully my "iron constitution" will hold out.
Hopstretch Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I'm just glad I'm not your roommate, Windy.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Healthy Choice Chicken Margherita -- less the chicken, so Healthy Choice Margherita spaghetti, basically.
guzziguy Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Trader Joe's chicken noodle soup with TJ's frozen succotash and enough salt, pepper and tabasco to give it some real flavor.
