Absorbine_Sr Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Navy bean soup. The local butcher/market makes up several soups and freezes them. The navy bean is very good, with large chunks of ham. Quote
Knuckledragger Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Tribe of Tribe of two Sheiks 40 Spice Hummus and Trader Joe's Veggie & Flax Seed Chips. A nice treat after having to change a flat tire in rain. Quote

Absorbine_Sr Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Took my first stab at making paella tonight. A fun experience but the result turned out a bit bland in flavor. Basic elements were chicken, artichoke, green beans, lima beans, tomato, arboreal rice, chicken stock, smoked sweet paprika, garlic and safron. I think more tomato was needed, and I'll be on the lookout for different variations to try. Here's a pic: Quote

deepak Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Yeah, but awesome mystery meat (with mystery sauce) I loved to get them when I was drinking and nothing else was open. There are a bunch of those stands in Manhattan that would be open till 5-6 am. I don't know if I could stomach one sober Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Goddamn, now I'm regretting having something other than a College Park Gyro for dinner earlier tonight. Which, if I had thought about it, I could have had. (Just about every gyro in the College Park area is at least half decent, including Pizza Boli's, who don't usually make gyros.) Quote
Smeggy Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 in a couple hours i'll be eating some lentil soup. Quote
Absorbine_Sr Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 Liquid diet weekend. And in an hour or so I get to drink 1.5 ounces of Fleet laxative to prep for a colonoscopy on Monday. Getting old fucking blows goats. Quote
