Brent: There are plenty of good burger and whiskey places here but I'd be happy to join you at one in Chattanooga, if I ever make it there (there is someone who works in my area of research there so I really should visit sometime). I guess close is a relative thing. 7620 Katy Fwy Unit 465
shellylh Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 Google maps says it will take me 2.5 hours to walk there. I will definitely kick Brent's butt in the Fitbit challenge if i do that. 2
MexicanDragon Posted April 1, 2016 Report Posted April 1, 2016 But Xavier and I just did over 300ft of climbing on the road bikes in a few miles before it got dark. I'm going to go eat a pizza and lose 3 pounds. **BRENT** 2
Voltron Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 You think you're entitled to eat a whole pizza because you rode a bike 300 feet? That pizza better be covered in Exlax if you want to lose weight. 5
grawk Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 to be fair, 300 ft of climbing is like going up my driveway, it's pretty impressive. 1
shellylh Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 [emoji488] was acquired and eaten. It was delicious. 5
Dusty Chalk Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Cheeseburger pizza on the way, because reasons. 1
swt61 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Damn Shelly, that looks tasty! Where'd you end up?
MexicanDragon Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I think the FL crew has to about 200 miles on the road to climb as much as we did in 4 miles, and that's mainly going over bridges over and over. Heh, I just checked and the 101 mile Orlando Tour de Cure ride has 514ft of elevation gain. That's about 7.5 miles of riding around here. Oh, and you'll all be happy to know that I *did* crash today. No thorn bushes, but the concrete was a bit harder than my elbow/knee. **BRENT** 3
swt61 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Everybody knows Mexicans belong on Burros, not bicycles. 1
cetoole Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Honeyhole never disappoints. Fast Eddie for me! 4
cetoole Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Pressure fried (broasted) chicken and onion rings. 1
swt61 Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 While that looks fantastic, the Mother in me wants to make you a big plate of fresh veggies. 2
cetoole Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Then make me some. But wait a few hours because I'm really full. Mom. Also, don't onion rings count? Edited April 3, 2016 by cetoole 5
swt61 Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Deal ! You buy the plane ticket and I'll buy the veggies. 2
Augsburger Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Salmon and Chablis goes together like bikinis and sun tan lotion. 2
VPI Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Zombie Burger at Brauer House Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
Voltron Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Looks amazing! How do the folks like the food?
VPI Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 They loved it, because it is pretty fantastic, but they had doubts due to the rock music and the fact a rock band is filming a music video in the place as we eat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Dusty Chalk Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Called a zombie burger because food coma after? Me: rigatoni with a kind of Puttanesca/Arrabiata kind of thing. Spaghetti sauce a la Dusty until I come up with a better name (tomato sauce, olives, garlic are the primary ingredients). Oh, and ground bison for protein (no, I did not grind it myself). 1
Dusty Chalk Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Crab Cakes with Potatoes au Gratin and roasted vegetables
Voltron Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Can't you just throw in a side salad occasionally to make mom Steve happy?! 2
