swt61 Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Do you ever eat anything as common as say, oh maybe a tuna salad sandwich? 3
Dusty Chalk Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 I had a sammich earlier. Steak & cheese with extra onions and jalapeño peppers instead of bell peppers and chipotle mayo. Nicy spicy.

cetoole Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 Feta and leek byrek And for Steve, some normal food (wings!) 1
Voltron Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 This is what Steve is talking about Nom Nom Nom 2
jvlgato Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 Spinach pappardelle with salmon and a tomato vodka cream sauce. Earlier, forgot to take a pic of the appetizer of baked clams. 5
cetoole Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 For reasons which will become clear and are entirely Steve's fault, I'm on the east side again, and happening to be in the same parking lot as the dumpling place I went this weekend. Mixed flavor beef shank Pork chao shou Braised beef burger Shrimp and pork steamed dumplings 3
crappyjones123 Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 Never had a tuna salad anything before. Smells too strong for me. My roommate my sophomore year leaving an open can of tuna over winter break and then forcing the entire side of the floor to find alternate living arrangements for a few days probably had something to do with it. Holy hell I just remembered how bad our room smelled. Fucking retard.
jvlgato Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 My son requested sushi. I happily obliged last night. 5
cetoole Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 Flash fried octopus with gochujang Smoked boar ribs Barrel aged negroni 4
Augsburger Posted February 19, 2016 Report Posted February 19, 2016 I bet you have a monster case of gout but don't realize it yet.
crappyjones123 Posted February 20, 2016 Report Posted February 20, 2016 First sous vide meal. As good as the steak was, the potatoes stole the show. The garlic taste was all over with none of the garlic visible. Simply fantastic. 7
cetoole Posted February 20, 2016 Report Posted February 20, 2016 Biscuit sandwich with prosciutto, fried egg, manchego cheese, arugula, and mama lil's pepper aioli, with a 16oz cappuccino. So freaking good. 4
grawk Posted February 20, 2016 Report Posted February 20, 2016 there's too much milk in that cappuccino
Absorbine_Sr Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Blackened salmon with corn salsa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
Dreadhead Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 No pictures but I had perfectly medium rare sous vide sirloin with boiled veggies in alfredo sauce. I also have larger steaks already in bags for lunch with friends tomorrow. Loving the Anova, do much easier, faster and more accurate. In particular like how the app adjusts for steak thickness. 1
crappyjones123 Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Chris/Jacob/other anova users, do you find yourself sticking the veggies in with the steak at the same time or do you run them separately?
cetoole Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Veggies typically are done much hotter than the meat.
Absorbine_Sr Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 I do mine separately in a pot. Yep, normally do veggies in the traditional ways, though we've experimented with some. Glazed carrots were pretty good sous vide. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
