cetoole Posted April 3, 2015 Report Posted April 3, 2015 Escargot, duck confit, and apple pie with bourbon vanilla ice cream. Really delicious. 5
Dusty Chalk Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Orange chicken -- Soy Vay (yes, really look it up -- it started out with two friends, a Jewish boy and a Chinese girl and their mutual love for food) Hoisin Garlic marinade mixed 50/50 with orange juice, marinade for two days (only meant to do one, but got lazy yesterday), added water chestnuts and bamboo shoots (yes, again), and stir fried the lot I have a feeling this would be good over some cabbage and cauliflower "rice" substitute, I have enough left over that I'm going to try that tomorrow. This stuff is superlative. It's not perfect -- the veggies could be a bit more done, it could be a touch spicier, and a bit less rich, but I'm happier with this than most restaurants' orange chicken. Other than Ricky's Rice Bowl. 1
grawk Posted April 5, 2015 Report Posted April 5, 2015 Ham, mashed roasted potatoes, gravy, rice, broccoli, rolls, and Chocolate rum cake with cinnamon rum whipped cream
Grahame Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Hot Cross Bun and a cup of tea. Reasonable seasonal substitute for a toasted teacake. Joanne has been bemoaning the lack of decent Easter eggs, this year Because #fuckhersheys (yes, it's a thing) Edited April 6, 2015 by Grahame
Voltron Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Spam? Mikey should be able to determine. [emoji3]
mikeymad Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Sure do look like some good fried spam to me.
Voltron Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Can you really say it add "sashimi" when they don't even cut it? Seems like "baby squid" is more accurate.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 8, 2015 Report Posted April 8, 2015 Mommy squid: I thought squid fell under the cephalopod banner, not fish. "Invertebrate and proud." Oh, and for the record? That is not what I am eating right now, right now I am eating rabbit food (salad from Chop't).
luvdunhill Posted April 9, 2015 Report Posted April 9, 2015 Can you really say it add "sashimi" when they don't even cut it? Seems like "baby squid" is more accurate. True. Also had "chicken sashimi". Pretty sure I was getting trolled there.
agile_one Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Ewwww ... well, this this just took a turn for the worse, wot? Raw squid? Rabbit pellets? Puleese! I've been away, and maybe this is the trend, now. If so, carry on. If not, and more sensible palates prevail, let's have at the regular victuals. I'm partial to lobster, and have been known to host a feed in summer months ...
Grahame Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Very metal. Was it the tails or the pigs that were crispy?
agile_one Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) ^^^ methinks twas the beard, too close to the flame. Hard lessons, hard learned. Looks quite tasty, though. Pig crisps. anyone? Fabulous with a good Cali rose. Edited April 10, 2015 by agile_one
Dusty Chalk Posted April 10, 2015 Report Posted April 10, 2015 Rabbit food? No...this was more the image I was trying to conjure:
