guzziguy Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 That looks really good, Ric. Well, except for that green stuff.
shellylh Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 That pizza looks good, even the green stuff.
kevin gilmore Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Just scored a bottle of pappy van-winkle 23 year old family reserve. Yum.
morphsci Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Nice. I missed a bottle of PVW 20 (which I prefer to the 23) at the Champaign Binny's by one day.
kevin gilmore Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 I buy what i can find They did have a bottle of 13 year old, i saw no reason to buy both. Evidently they are getting a number of the buffalo trace things in early in the week.
morphsci Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Oh don't get me wrong. If they had a bottle of the 23, I would have had it at home now.

grawk Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 grilled cod with meyer lemons and emeril's spice mix.
Wmcmanus Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Some chocolate that I brought back from the airport in Frankfurt.
jvlgato Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Just scored a bottle of pappy van-winkle 23 year old family reserve. Yum. My local store manager said he'd call me if he got a bottle. He did not. Edit: 1 bottle left! She's holding it for me! Thanks for the tip! Edited March 17, 2012 by jvlgato
blessingx Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 A Manhattan in one hand. Tagalongs in the other. A perfect combination? Kinda the opposite.
shellylh Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Cannot be perfect since Samoas > Tagalongs.
Voltron Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Catching up a little: Yum. Homemade pizza here. Really nice looking pizza, Ric, but damn you only made that one little green spot for the lovely nursing mother?! Just scored a bottle of pappy van-winkle 23 year old family reserve. Yum. Excellent score! grilled cod with meyer lemons and emeril's spice mix. Some chocolate that I brought back from the airport in Frankfurt. a little pain au auvergne from Friday, some Les Trios Petits Cochons saucisson sec, a bit of Le Fin Normand camembert, and a drizzle of good dijon. goes great with a bit of decent Rhône Rosé! i wish i had some cornichons, but one can't always get what one wants. i had lunch at Shapiros, including their Rueben and their to die for mac and cheese and coconut cream pie, so just a little bread cheese and sausage is perfect for a light dinner. Pics, people, pics! Cannot be perfect since Samoas > Tagalongs. x 27, although a Manhattan and cookies sounds pretty fun. OH. MY. GOD. *faints*
blessingx Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) Really nice looking pizza, Ric, but damn you only made that one little green spot for the lovely nursing mother?! I stand by Ken's recommendations! Finishing up the CarboXperiments Weekend. Stare into the face of the Sun... MnC .... and really Thin Mints are the tops. Edited March 19, 2012 by blessingx
Absorbine_Sr Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Pork chops with Chicago Spice House Back of the Yards Butcher's spice rub with fingerling potatoes and brussel sprouts in a whiskey maple syrup sauce. All prepped on the grill. It were tasty.
VPI Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Starting with a warm quail salad followed by foie gras au torchon then sautéed medallions of fallow deer. And an excellent Sazerac.
morphsci Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) And it's the wrong glass for a Sazerac, since I'm a Sazerac pedant. Edited March 29, 2012 by morphsci
