Did a ghetto-sous vide for half an hour in a big pot, then seared it for a minute each side, added a little butter and into the broiler for ~4 minutes. Sweet onions sauteed in last night's leftover hamburger grease. Mmm. Was going to have with a Kasteel Rouge, except I found it tasted like cherry cough syrup and was undrinkable, so having an Ommegang Rare Vos instead.

Voltron Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Just finished, but it was a pork chop and sugar snap peas with bourbon mint julep glaze. I wanted a mint julep on the side but all the mint was gone, so an FBI Fizz sufficed.
