Aura Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Our very own Chicken and Waffles place, right here in my little suburb! ... brings a tear of joy to my eye ... Where is that at John? Right now - Meiji Hello Panda's. These things are fucking delish. Quote

You'll gain back all the weight you've lost in the last year, and have a heart attack on the spot. Waffle could have been better, it was a bit soft, and I like crisp, although my son gobbled up his waffle in about two seconds; the fried chicken was really good. And if you really want to go for it, they have fried giblets! We've been tracking this place for two years now, and they finally opened in December! http://chicago.metromix.com/restaurants/american/chicagos-home-of-chicken-oak-park/983103/content Oh, and Meiji Hello Panda's? Again, I say, you are far more Asian than I am. Edited January 21, 2011 by jvlgato Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Yeah, that's what Al said, must missed something somewhere (am having a really bad memory day -- I really hope it's not Alzheimer's). What does one eat to improve one's memory? I should write it down. Quote
mypasswordis Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/10-foods-that-boost-memory.html Ate six eggs along with some other stuff within a few hours. I know someone who eats 8 eggs a day, and have heard of people that eat only eggs (36 per day, 6 meals of 6 eggs each). Slightly over the top but maybe there is some merit to more. Quote
Grahame Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Brunch today was left-overs. And by left-overs I mean Turkey Chili, Quinoa salad, and mixed fridge salad à la Joanne, on the deck in shorts and a T-shirt with a long tall Diet Coke. Tough Life, eh? Quote
Absorbine_Sr Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Went to a place called SmokeJack in Alpharetta, GA tonight for dinner. Had a combo plate of smoked brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. Accompanied by cheesy grits and fried pickles. A couple of Terrapin beers, and for authenticity a PBR. Food and beer was excellent. Finished with a Classic Cask 17 yr bourbon that I quite liked. Absorbine is a happy boy. Quote
