So what will you prepare when the mega rain and snow comes this weekend?

Brownies PXL_20240301_222003701.jpg

And (not shown) nice cups of tea.

Had breakfast at the Hummingbird with Dorothy and her bo Gavin. I had fried chicken hash, Dorothy had chicken and waffles and Gavin had Heuvos Rancheros.

Forgot to take pics.

It is hard to beat a ribeye as a cut of steak....yummy chow!

I tried sous vide on them a few times and finishing up over a very high flame or in an iron skillet, but IMHO the cut is so delicious it's not worth the climb vs simply cooking them...

We visited a local restaurant, Eau Tour, that I have been wanting to go to for a while.  Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the better halves' red snapper...it was the best cooked fish I have had in a long while.

The duck confit looks rather drab but the sauce was amazing and the side was a grilled lettuce or cabbage layered like lasagna with delumpcious cheesy stuffs...  Thumbs up to this joint if you find yourself in Houston.

Not now, but this morning.

This is a new discovery for me from Trader Joe's.

On a toasted, buttered bagel, it's fantastic! A little goes a long way. I'd imagine it'd also be wonderful on vanilla ice cream.

I cooked the steak and scrambled eggs. I cut the avocado. The other stuff is last night’s leftovers from Bistro’s Na in Temple City, CA.
