HemiSam Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 Lovely spread, Grahame! The Spaniard starters…and the lamb looks to be cooked perfectly. Yum! HS
guzziguy Posted March 10 Report Posted March 10 Looks yummy, Grahame. But why was the dessert missing some bacon? 1
909 Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 Organic grass fed ribeye pan fried in raw butter — medium rare. Daikon kimchee, ginger, organic purple potato and avocado 4
HemiSam Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 It is hard to beat a ribeye as a cut of steak....yummy chow! I tried sous vide on them a few times and finishing up over a very high flame or in an iron skillet, but IMHO the cut is so delicious it's not worth the climb vs simply cooking them... HS 2
HemiSam Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 We visited a local restaurant, Eau Tour, that I have been wanting to go to for a while. Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the better halves' red snapper...it was the best cooked fish I have had in a long while. The duck confit looks rather drab but the sauce was amazing and the side was a grilled lettuce or cabbage layered like lasagna with delumpcious cheesy stuffs... Thumbs up to this joint if you find yourself in Houston. HS 6
swt61 Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 Not now, but this morning. This is a new discovery for me from Trader Joe's. On a toasted, buttered bagel, it's fantastic! A little goes a long way. I'd imagine it'd also be wonderful on vanilla ice cream. 1

909 Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 I cooked the steak and scrambled eggs. I cut the avocado. The other stuff is last night’s leftovers from Bistro’s Na in Temple City, CA. 3
