n_maher Posted July 8, 2018 Report Posted July 8, 2018 What to do with leftover poutine, you ask? Breakfast scramble. 11
Voltron Posted July 9, 2018 Report Posted July 9, 2018 Nice! I had some awesome poutine with duck confit on top yesterday at Duckfat. Great duck fat frites and brisket panini too. 4
jvlgato Posted July 11, 2018 Report Posted July 11, 2018 No internet for a few days. But we’ve had lots of incredible seafood at Prince Edward Island! Also great brisket sandwich and ice cream! 9
Mario_Fpolis Posted July 11, 2018 Report Posted July 11, 2018 Man, You are indulging Yourselves big time, and I say it in the most envious way. Very, very nice. 2
mikeymad Posted July 12, 2018 Report Posted July 12, 2018 (edited) quite civilized for a 'Bachelor Party!' Three more days to go... Edited July 12, 2018 by mikeymad 4
jvlgato Posted July 13, 2018 Report Posted July 13, 2018 Maritime bouillabaisse. Man, I’m gonna miss this area! 5
morphsci Posted July 13, 2018 Report Posted July 13, 2018 Yesterday: Bachelor night 2 Plymouth Navy Strength Martini and tapas Jai alai and rack of lamb Cappuccino and tiramisu 10
Mario_Fpolis Posted July 14, 2018 Report Posted July 14, 2018 Well, it was Tuesday, and the menu is in Portuguese, but what the hell. There is a wine store here, and they invite some winemakers to demonstrate their wines in a harmonized dinner, and it was Super! Too drunk at the end to take pictures of the grapa´s, very beautiful bottles. Wife got mad at me ´cause I first tried the food and only after took the picture. Dessert almost did not survived until then. 5
Dusty Chalk Posted July 14, 2018 Report Posted July 14, 2018 Sounds like you got your priorities straight! 1
morphsci Posted July 14, 2018 Report Posted July 14, 2018 (edited) Yesterday: Bachelor Night 3 A James Bond Martini: Their take on a Vesper (which I patiently explained to the waitress was the proper name). Uses a Riesling instead of Vermouth and a thinly sliced cucumber. Interesting enough for me to drink two. Escargot on a puff pastry Bacon, potato and leek soup A nice chenin blanc Lobster Sauté Cafe con leche Butterscotch Crème brûlée Not sure I can take a fourth night Edited July 14, 2018 by morphsci 6 1
Torpedo Posted July 14, 2018 Report Posted July 14, 2018 that's not a "café con leche" but everything else looks interesting nonetheless.
morphsci Posted July 14, 2018 Report Posted July 14, 2018 I should have said it is their take on a cafe con leche. Definitely not the cafe con leche I had every morning I was in Veracruz.
Hopstretch Posted July 16, 2018 Report Posted July 16, 2018 This was a 2lb cowboy ribeye and a bottle of 2012 Ornellaia for lunch at Quality Meats. The I-Banker bros three inches away at the next table (yay NY) were giving off strong “who’s this fucking tourist?” vibes so I had to go for the surreptitious shot. On the other hand, I also got to eavesdrop on their genius-level strategic analysis. Example: “You know I really think the sooner we can get something signed, the faster the whole deal will go.”[emoji966][emoji966][emoji966] 4 2 1

Augsburger Posted July 17, 2018 Report Posted July 17, 2018 Yay on the Ornellaia, boo on the banker bros.
Augsburger Posted July 17, 2018 Report Posted July 17, 2018 Ornellaia for lunch is mega win in any rational thinking person's book. I am proud of you. 1
Hopstretch Posted July 17, 2018 Report Posted July 17, 2018 Speaking of win. Neptune Oyster in Boston — Island Creek & Beach Point with a good Chablis. Followed of course by the melted butter doused lobster roll. Oh lord give me calorie control, but not yet. 4 1
