jvlgato Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 Last night, but: Caesars Salad Black truffle sachetti in a Parmesan cream and porcini mushroom sauce I didn't take a picture to rub it in, but I had Iron Springs fish and chips. Jack says hi Steve. This is like reading a Playboy magazine that doesn't have naked pictures of women. [emoji848] 3
swt61 Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 I think that was posted mostly for my benefit. I absolutely love fish and chips, and Iron Springs Cafe had it every Monday night. They'd use different fish, but it was always delicious. Jack the contractor usually had a large group each week, and it became a good part of my routine. 1
Sechtdamon Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 45 cm (17,7 inch) İskenderun Döner Dürüm (Wrap): For size comparison: It does not look fancy but It was extremely delicious and huge. 1

Voltron Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Shaanxi Northern Chinese cuisine one block from our house in SF. Excellent food but hectic inside with no regard to personal space. Trade-offs. 9

Voltron Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 A little too authentic at times. Other people's butts and clothing were perilously close to our food (let alone faces). All in all worth it anyway. 3

mypasswordis Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 I experienced the same thing in mainland China awhile back. On the first day some guy was way, way up in my space on the train/public transport so I gave him a small shove and stared him down like a massive douche. After a couple days of more close encounters I realized they don't really have the same sense of personal space. To add to the thread, I went to Thomas Sweet in Georgetown 3

tyrion Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 Nice! Why the freezing? Just saw this. Freezing is to make sure any bugs that my be not have been killed while cooking die. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Voltron Posted February 26, 2017 Report Posted February 26, 2017 I guessed as much. Have you tried doing more?
tyrion Posted February 27, 2017 Report Posted February 27, 2017 Not yet but running low so will be doing another batch soon. Need to tweak it a little. Next time, less salt in the brine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
cetoole Posted February 28, 2017 Report Posted February 28, 2017 Went out for Chinese food with the Boston members of my family. My aunt Ju's mother was also visiting from Malaysia, and ordered everything, which was entertaining. Missing a few things, but it was all scrumptious. Definitely beat lunch, which was an airport salad. 7
swt61 Posted March 1, 2017 Report Posted March 1, 2017 Ah yes, cornbread and burgers. Can't count the times I've had the same. They go together like Fred and Ginger, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Brent and Colin... 1

swt61 Posted March 2, 2017 Report Posted March 2, 2017 Sounds good. I have a good BBQ place nearby, but their sides absolutely suck. Don't think I'd find baked beans anywhere near here though.
