I think people in texas mostly just don't get to experience great crab.  Dungeness and King crab are amazing.  Those little scraggly things they have in the gulf are good in seafood stock...

As long as you slather them with plenty of artery clogging butter and garlic and wash them down with ice cold beer or white wine or Champagne it's all good.

I miss King Crab soooo much!

I just started eating seafood about a year ago (I been trying to force myself to like it) and don't eat it all that often.  I think I've only tried crab once since I started but I didn't like it.

Incorrect.  The fat should be infused with the beef, imparting a delicious flavour that is greater than the sum of their parts, without the yicky texture (cf. Steve's impression of okra, most non-oyster-eaters' impressions of oysters, etc.), in this case, of fat.
