Orange chicken -- Soy Vay (yes, really look it up -- it started out with two friends, a Jewish boy and a Chinese girl and their mutual love for food) Hoisin Garlic marinade mixed 50/50 with orange juice, marinade for two days (only meant to do one, but got lazy yesterday), added water chestnuts and bamboo shoots (yes, again), and stir fried the lot

I have a feeling this would be good over some cabbage and cauliflower "rice" substitute, I have enough left over that I'm going to try that tomorrow.

This stuff is superlative.  It's not perfect -- the veggies could be a bit more done, it could be a touch spicier, and a bit less rich, but I'm happier with this than most restaurants' orange chicken.  Other than Ricky's Rice Bowl.

Mommy squid:

I thought squid fell under the cephalopod banner, not fish.  "Invertebrate and proud."

Oh, and for the record?  That is not what I am eating right now, right now I am eating rabbit food (salad from Chop't).

Ewwww ... well, this this just took a turn for the worse, wot?  Raw squid?  Rabbit pellets?  Puleese!

I've been away, and maybe this is the trend, now.  If so, carry on.

If not, and more sensible palates prevail, let's have at the regular victuals.

I'm partial to lobster, and have been known to host a feed in summer months ...

^^^ methinks twas the beard, too close to the flame.  Hard lessons, hard learned.

Looks quite tasty, though.  Pig crisps. anyone?  Fabulous with a good Cali rose.
