Augsburger Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Who needs a beach when you have all that good food?
Dusty Chalk Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Papaya delight could become my religionImageUploadedByTapatalk1427216820.158622.jpg I have a friend who wanted me to send him nothing but Mauna Loa honey roasted macadamia nuts while I was there. That was his religion.
skullguise Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Dan, everything you post, I add words....like that silly "in bed" game. But it's "in Hawaii" for you. And I'm jealous.
grawk Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 No doubt. I'm amazingly fortunate to call this a work trip. Life is good indeed. That said: guava shave ice Here: 2
acidbasement Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 We don't get biscuits and gravy in Canada, because poutine is better so what would be the point? Anyway, I tried my first biscuits and gravy today, because I figured Brent would approve. It was okay. I suspect North Dakota might not be the best place for such a dish. Should have just ordered pie. 3
Voltron Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Looks creepy Iain. Risky choice given the locale. Better luck with cuisine on your trip.

Augsburger Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Was that the before or after? Biscuits and gravy is more a southern dish I believe and a risky proposition north of the Mason Dixon line. Ordering biscuits and gravy in North Dakota would be like ordering kielbasa in Arizona. I hope you have better luck at the next food stop.
cetoole Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Last night, veal tartare and pork belly Now, a bit of breakfast 4
n_maher Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Ordering biscuits and gravy in North Dakota would be like ordering kielbasa in Arizona. This made me laugh out loud.
Voltron Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 Will the 7th tallest Mexican ever be able to get one of these? 2
grawk Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Food truck fish and chips in a little village in west maui. 1
eggil Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Fresh salad at Whole food market in Northbrook, Il Very random place, but it was close to the hotel, and not too bad
Dusty Chalk Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 It certainly doesn't suck to be Colin or Dan.
grawk Posted March 26, 2015 Report Posted March 26, 2015 Colin eats well, but he's still a ginger...Thai Salmon with Basil Leaves...waited a bit long to take the picture. 1
grawk Posted March 27, 2015 Report Posted March 27, 2015 I went to NUKA in Haiku town. The head chef used to work at Morimoto, and we ordered omakase. It was without a doubt the best sushi experience I've ever had. As an example, this is oyster ponzu nigiri. 5
