shellylh Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Hi Steve!Went to Bernie's Burger Bus. I wanted to get this (two applewood smoked bacon grill cheeses used as a bun for two signature beef patties, each topped with cheddar, "tipsy" onions, and all the fixings) but instead I got this (single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg).Next time I am going for the double patty with grill cheeses as buns! Augsburger Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 Colin, that looks like BBQed pork butt. Whatever it is it looks awesome.
swt61 Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 Hi Shelly! it doesn't really seem as though the "(single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg)" was settling. They both look fantastic! 3
cetoole Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) It was pulled pork and was serious yum! Some of the best I can recall having. Bhjazz, if you read this thread, I highly recommend campfire bbq, which has popups at various places around the city. Shelly, that burger looks like a hot mess in the very best sense. agile_one Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 Awesome, Colin and Shelly. But, Shelly, this is HC ... shouldn't you have gotten BOTH the double patty with grilled cheese buns AND the single with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, and aioli? 5
jvlgato Posted February 5, 2015 Report Posted February 5, 2015 I love oxtail! My mom makes a nice oxtail stew for the holidays. I've never had it in soup, but it looks great!

agile_one Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Awesome burgers, Grahame, Peter, and Ed. Did you ditch the DOTU? Ric ... I'll take your word that chops tasted good.
Voltron Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) I ditched them for a family dinner to celebrate Alden's birthday, which is later this week. I was also exhausted and ready for a nap. And I'm not sure I can believe those chops were enjoyable in that form. Maybe you should heat up a pan for a quick sear next time. crappyjones123 Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Tried making chicken curry for the first time. Came out surprising close to the way my grandmother used to make. Overcooked a chicken a hair but otherwise perfect curry. 2
