Absorbine_Sr
36 hour flank steak with chimichuri sauce and a wonderful corn and bean salad whipped up by Debbie. The steak was as tender as filet and with sherry vinegar the salad was great.

naamanf
Sounds amazing. Really amazing. Cooked some prime fillets from Sams. Pan seared in olive oil and butter then broiled. Yummy.
tyrion
That does sound amazing Reks. I haven't done a Sous vide steak yet. Will give it a try when back from vacation. Did a 24 hour brisket which we had last night. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Absorbine_Sr
How was the brisket Mike? The 36 hour flank steak we did was filet tender.
Absorbine_Sr
Looks nice! Sous vide is basically the way to go for everything, so far. Except chicken, but I think the Searzall will fix the issue for me (browning in the oven dries out a sous vide'ed chicken too much: the Searzall won't have that problem). Yep. We did boneless breasts the other night with a light sear after using the propane torch and it was so moist with just a touch of crunch outside. Dusty Chalk
Ditto on curious how the brisket turned out.
VPI
Mike you should try the French Laundry brisket. 48 hours at 147 I believe. Then throw it on the Traeger on Smoke.
Voltron
Salami and onions and eggs like I used to get at the B&D Deli in Brookline, except I didn't have onion so I added provolone instead. . Plus an appropriate beverage for a very late breakfast.
agile_one
B&D was a great deli, Al. Very sad when they closed the place a few years back. Eggs look great, especially with the Stout/water back. Want.

Augsburger
The only way I would ever eat eggs is with a breakfast stout. Mother's Day scones with clotted cream.
Voltron
I think Stretch's diet is at risk... Eggs and Breakfast Stout are excellent together but I like eggs in general. Today, I am going south of the border at Casa Mañana in Mayberry. Excellent fish tacos with lots of goodness on the side. No Sonic Youth blaring like the late night MOA run, but some great Latin pop and jazz tunes recorded in the 50s. My Chicano host points out it is the earliest recording of Spanglish he has ever found. I love this place
