cetoole Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Too much L and T, not nearly enough B. I had a banh mi for breakfast and microwaved sous vide steak earlier. Loses something in the process, sadly. I think I have about a dozen more steaks, 3-4 pork chops, and half a dozen burgers I need to eat before moving. And lots of beer. Tonight will be busy. jvlgato Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Thanks Ken! Agree, Colin. The BLT was good, but could have used more B. Although you could pretty much say that about anything with B! BTW, if you need some place to store your sous vide machine during the move, just let me know!
jvlgato Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Dinner: ordered in seafood risotto
Dusty Chalk Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 ... microwaved sous vide steak earlier. Loses something in the process, sadly...(shudders) Yah. Don't ever do that again. And if you do have to, for much less time.
Grahame Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Final meal in UK last night. What did you expect Chocolate roulade, cream and a chocolat noir tour d'eiffel from Paris.
crappyjones123 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 That looks awesome. Dinner: ordered in seafood risotto
jp11801 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Mmmmmm wings at the filling station Miami
jvlgato Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 German buffet at Mader's in Milwaukee... not quite what Al is doing, but pretty good, nonetheless.
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Coconut curry chicken and rice. Edited September 23, 2012 by Absorbine_Sr
deepak Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Colin are you in vizzle withdrawal yet? I did some vizzling this evening, really nice after a weekend of greasy subs. Sous-vide low temperature chicken with a small bit of the korma vacuum sealed in. Then a quick flash grilling. It was very moist and tasty. Pics after we had ate most of it :'(
crappyjones123 Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Mojo Pork shoulder from the crock pot with white basmati rice from our home in India. Bone just slid out. Might cook It less next time so it doesn't get so tender. I guess I spoke too soon. First time I cooked it so didn't realize that the fat was separating from the meat easily. The meat itself is the perfect level of tenderness. Edited September 26, 2012 by crappyjones123
Voltron Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Homemade chicken pot pie. Nom nom nom

Dusty Chalk Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Sushi+sake That looks like it just might be enough for you.
cetoole Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Its like normal, I could have taken more, but this was enough that I left feeling pretty satisfied. I can only think of one time I have actually felt stuffed eating sushi.
Absorbine_Sr Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Home made mac & cheese with tater tot topping.
Grahame Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 With the warm temperatures in the bay area, we were out on the deck when Joanne had a hankering for Woodlands Market Salted Caramel Ice cream. Being the dutiful husband, how could I refuse? Unfortunately they were out of their own brand, so I was forced to choose. Or not, as the case may be. It may not be Berthillion, but, mustn't grumble ,
Dusty Chalk Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Just came back from Genghis Grill -- new favourite place to eat. I can be whimsical and get exactly what I want at the same time. (Mongolian grill where you put the ingredients in a bowl and they stir-fry it for you.) I think I'm going to have to get a wok for home.
Grahame Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 ^ All you can eat mongolian grill? Hope this doesn't happen to you ... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/10/03/brighton_bloaters/
