Absorbine_Sr Posted June 29, 2012 Report Posted June 29, 2012 Fried potatoes via Lodge cast iron fry pan on the grill, to go with rubbed pork chops. Turned out very good. We have a cheap 5 burner gas grill and the burner tents were rotting out. So I removed them, found a grate to go over the burners and covered it with lava rock. Heat retention is WAY better, and temperature was notably hotter after the rock heated up. Seems like it is officially Science week and I'm digging it. Quote

grawk Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 I made dry rubbed spare ribs. 4 hrs in the oven at 250, then 30 minutes over hardwood charcoal to finish. 1/4 was done in 5 spice rub, 3/4 in my own chili powder. Quote

crappyjones123 Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 Garlic paste with a home made sauce that my mom makes for chicken but I tried it with salmon tonight. Did not disappoint. Baked at 375 for 15 minutes. Homemade basmati rice from India. Good meal. 1 Quote
crappyjones123 Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 Good god that salmon gave me the worst stomach ache ever. Spent the better part of my evening hurling the contents out at both ends. Not a very good post meal experience. Quote

Not a very good post meal experience. Oof. That doesn't sound good at all. Feel better. Trying to eat what's salvagable from the freezer before it goes bad. That sounds dicey--real dicey. Quote
