Mike what cuts of pork did you use with that Que (post # 3536)? Looks very very tasty.

Greg, they are country style pork ribs without the bone. Very easy to make and if you chop them up they make a great pork sandwich. Much easier than smoking a pork shoulder.

jvlgato, this one looks fantastic!! Apparently they started off in Brazil and then expanded overseas, so I imagine it's very authentic.

And your experience is precisely how a proper Churrascaria should be, reading it made me hungry hahaha!

Finally trying first of the ramen places in DC, Toki Underground

Sent from mah Droid

How is/was it? The numerous ramen places are one of few things I miss about Japan. I really should try out the ones in Boston, but I hate driving into Boston.

Meh. The two I've gone to in NY were better, IMHO. But I have a tendency to prefer "Americanized" indigenous dishes more than "authentic" (Chinese, Indian, Mexican). I'll have to remember to hit one or two when I go up (to NY) in September, but this will hold me over until I do.

The quest remains.
