Dreadhead Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 I picked this up today. Not mine to keep yet but feels light and looks awesome. I am looking forward to playing with it once I am under 190. Quote
Dreadhead Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 For a gps watch it's not. Also my wrist isn't that big. Quote
grawk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Mine is certainly not my biggest watch. Quote
luvdunhill Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 I have heard people having issues with the sapphire version (not suggesting it has anything to do with the actual material, that seem absurd, just that model i guess). Might want to verify it works before the return period expires. Quote

Dreadhead Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Cool. It doesn't look like it's a real issue on the PC looking through the thread. I will see how it goes in a few weeks. Quote
grawk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Maybe this is one of the threads? http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=861150 Sync failing pb fixed with the latest update (Moveslink for Mac updated to v1.1.37 and Ambit 2 updated to firmware 1.5.14) yeeheee!! HeadphoneAddict Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 New Hamilton Swiss Automatic - great bang for the buck, even with an ETA 2824 movement. Much less expensive than other Swiss watches with the same movement, and offers a vintage look that reminds me of my previous 50 year old Rolex or a vintage Omega. 1 Quote
en480c4 Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Finally got a few minutes to set up my Pebble. Very pleased with build quality, feel and function so far. I'll need some more time with it to really get a feel for it, but I like the simplicity of it. Today's Samsung Gear announcement only reinforces my desire for a pared down accessory like this. 1 Quote
HeadphoneAddict Posted September 4, 2013 Report Posted September 4, 2013 Pebble looks nicer than the Kreyos, which has a benefit of being a BT speaker phone. I considered the Martian watch too, but the Kreyos I can clip to clothing like a 6th gen Nano. I'm hoping Apple will make a decent BT smart watch, since the Samsung is ridiculous. My Citizen Proximity BT watch is pretty much useless. Yeah, I get alerted for a call, and alarm, or an email, but then I have to dig the phone out of my pocket to anything else. It doesn't do anything with SMS at all. It's only useful for BT because many times I can't feel the silenced phone vibrate in my cargo pants pocket, but I can feel the watch vibrate. At least it's a decent looking watch. Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted September 6, 2013 Author Report Posted September 6, 2013 Wait, that's hers, what'd she get you? (Can't see past the shiny.) Quote
Dreadhead Posted September 6, 2013 Report Posted September 6, 2013 Cool stretch. Put on my Suunto today and realized that they shipped it to me with a scuff on the rubber band. I have emailed them but if they don't come through my shop says that they will fix it. Quote
HeadphoneAddict Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Nice watch. My wish list includes a Patek Philippe Nautilus. Quote
Dreadhead Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Finally got my Suunto back and since I am using it as a everyday watch I am glad I went with the Sapphire with the stainless bezel. I am hard on watches. I have already touched up the bezel with Scotch Brite. Quote
luvdunhill Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 What is everyone's opinion of the various Ball Official Standards line of watches. Welcome to BALL Watch I actually like the looks of some and they look nothing like all the other ones I have picked up recently. Don't know much about the company though. There are lots of elements of the Ball watches that I like but I'm hard pressed to find any one that I really love outside of the Night Train. I dig the Cleveland Express, except for crest at the other end of the second hand. It reminds me of a sandwich skewer. I bit the bullet on on a Ball (yup, couldn't avoid that one) today. I'll post pics in a couple days when it gets here. Quote
Augsburger Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Wow! The entire collection looks beautiful. Quote
