VPI Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) They are not mine so I am not sure. Appears to be a Seiko. Edited March 28, 2011 by VPI
VPI Posted March 28, 2011 Report Posted March 28, 2011 Got home to find some new leather for my newest B&R in the mail. On the watch is the Sharkskin and in front is the vintage bomber jacket.
deepak Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 They are not mine so I am not sure. Appears to be a Seiko. lol I should have figured as much when I saw the sub knock off.
tyrion Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Nice straps. I have a stingray strap that should arrive in another week or so. I love buying straps.

Dusty Chalk Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Not in America, fuck yeah! Unless of course, you're talking about some kind of endangered species thing, in which case, never mind.
Voltron Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Nice straps. I have a stingray strap that should arrive in another week or so. I love buying straps. Is it made out of the one that killed the Crocodile Hunter?
VPI Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Comparison shots between the 1170 and the 1200. The foam is nicer in the 1200.
n_maher Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 1200 looks safer They're watches, and presumably Jeff is going to (and already has) worn them without an inch of foam plus a ballistic plastic hell on his wrist. There would have to be a pretty major fuckup to cause a watch harm in the smaller case, like say an encounter with a 5lb sledge. [edit] Check that, the top cover looks like it's the same on both cases, so in my book they both provide the same level of safety.

Yeah this case is not for my safe queens so either case would be fine. I personally like the 1200 better.
n_maher Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 The 1200 is black. Hmm, wouldn't have guessed that based on the way the foam looks in the black box... Either way, my edit is the meat of what I had to say, I don't see one or the other providing a substantially different travel environment or anything approaching a lack of safety. Also, the idea that Jeff has watches that he needs to protect more than these is, well, .
tyrion Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Also, the idea that Jeff has watches that he needs to protect more than these is, well, . This is what I was thinking.
tyrion Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Nice purchases Al. Did they give you a raise to 2 boxes of money a day?
Voltron Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 Those are Jeff's safe queens, duh. And yes, I earn a couple of these per day Sometimes there are a couple of dimes mixed in!

Grahame Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 No doubt he takes them to the St. Francis to get them washed. Wouldn't want them tarnishing his white gloves http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/12/27/MNHU1GT8K4.DTL
VPI Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 My safe queens are decidedly lower end than those Al. But they all look considerable better than that last thing.
Dusty Chalk Posted March 30, 2011 Author Report Posted March 30, 2011 MM == megamillions? E.G. you have to win 1.5 megamillions to afford that second one?
Voltron Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 In the finance world, M is thousands and MM is millions. I guess Megamillions would be MMM.
