blessingx Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Congrats Al, and don't miss The American Bar in Obecnà Dům while in Prague. Cool, little basement establishment to keep the drink experimentation going. http://prague-stay.com/lifestyle/review/501-americky-bar/
morphsci Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 (edited) That sounds like a great trip Al. Don't miss Negroni in Munich. Edited June 1, 2011 by morphsci
tyrion Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I'm jealous Al. That will be a great trip and well deserved.
Aimless1 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Oooh. What fun Al. No doubt you'll have a great time.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Maybe a pair of these with the stands: Ribbons? What are they?
grawk Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 For someone who I've never seen wear a tshirt, you buy a fuck ton of them, Dusty.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I have other people in my life (both Daves, both sisters, mother, my ex, ex's parents) who hardly ever see me in anything other than a T-shirt.* But yes, I do buy a fuckton of T-shirts... * Er...pants notwithstanding, that is...
grawk Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I figured it was an aversion to doing your own laundry. Single use tshirts for the weekends, and dress clothes you have laundered.
guzziguy Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 A couple pair of Smartwool socks to go with my new motorcycle boots.
jvlgato Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I've worn smartwools on camping trips. They're pretty awesome.
aardvark baguette Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Brita water bottle + filters. Gotta ween myself off the soda. I think I may still have some calcium vestiges left on these bones yet...
guzziguy Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 how do you like the smartwools? i've been using thorlos and wigwams for years, but i've never owned smartwools... I've worn smartwools on camping trips. They're pretty awesome. I've owned all three. Take the Smartwool. These are my first Smartwool socks. However, I own Smartwool thermal underwear and love them. Unlike cotton and polypropylene clothes, Smartwool doesn't smell bad after a day of wearing. This is great for multi-day motorcycle trips. I expect the Smartwool socks to be just as nice as their underwear.
Dreadhead Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 (edited) Negear 500+Mbps (bs spec) powerline adapters. Well I bought them yesterday but they arrived today and I'm getting 100+Mbps across my house, much faster than wireless. Awesome. Edited June 1, 2011 by Dreadhead
grawk Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 got my cleats today. Much better. The eggbeaters used the small cleats, and the shimanos use mediums.

I also have a Smartwool baclava for cycling, and a couple pairs of Smartwool cycling socks as well. I might have to buy one of their jerseys, though I usually don't gear up much to ride.

Well I bought them yesterday but they arrived today and I'm getting 100+Mbps across my house, much faster than wireless. Awesome. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on how these work out after a few weeks. I've long thought about doing this for my PS3 which is as remote from my router as can be in the house and as such, suffers a bit for network related operation.

X2, despite having the Airport Extreme sitting high on a shelf in the office the reception at my son's Xbox on one side of the house and daughter's MBP in the dining room are very twitchy at times. I was thinking of trying to slightly improve the reception with a couple of Airport Expresses but your solution seems to be more reliable and easier for someone like me to implement. Bought six bottles of 2008 Lokoya Howell Mountain and six bottles of LoKoya Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon and six bottles of Cardinale.
