Absorbine_Sr Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Works for me. You grill and I pour? That sounds like an excellent arrangement Jim. I'd have much more faith in your mixology than mine. And I think we can find some excellent things to grill. i'm there. do we want a thread to set this up properly? not that i have anything against getting excited about drinking and having the meet discussion occur randomly . We can do a thread or not. I need to remember we are only in a three bedroom townhouse and not overload, but we have a decent deck and some lawn and stuff too so we can get a few folks in. Aw hell, we'll do a thread. I think we need this.
Voltron Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 Do grilling/lawns and November really go together in Chicagoland?

Salt Peanuts Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Do grilling/lawns and November really go together in Chicagoland? In Mass, but precisely the reason there is always a path to my grill all winter long.
Absorbine_Sr Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Do grilling/lawns and November really go together in Chicagoland? Actually it's not unusual to have weather in the 50's and 60's in November around here. And besides, we will have anti-freeze.
jvlgato Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Edit: I'm in! Just saw the actual new thread. Moved there.
jvlgato Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Do grilling/lawns and November really go together in Chicagoland? I know people who grill year 'round. They shovel a path through the snow to get to the grill!
swt61 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 I actually think I preferred grilling in the winter in AK. I damned sure prefer it down here. Standing over a hot grill in 100 degree weather just has a way of zapping my appetite.

Smeggy Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 due to the lack of wi-fi in our group office, I went and ordered a Clear iSpot 4G>wi-fi converter. little box, runs on batteries or plugged in and unlimited bandwidth for $25/Mo. If it gives me anything in the way of a signal and modest wifi speed I'll be happy. Arriving tomorrow. I'll let you know how it does shortly.
