HeadphoneAddict Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 A medium or medium-well cooked dry aged steak should be safer than raw oysters or sushi while pregnant. It the medium rare part that is more of a problem than the dry aged part (speaking as a pediatrician): Pregnancy nutrition: Foods to avoid during pregnancy - MayoClinic.com
grawk Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 but eating a well prepared dry aged steak medium or more is like eating sushi after boiling it.
laxx Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 But you're not supposed to eat sashimi either. Less of evils?
mypasswordis Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Goddammit, I'm going to hate getting pregnant.
Fitz Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 Goddammit, I'm going to hate getting pregnant. You should make him use birth control then.
mypasswordis Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 True, I'm sure as hell not going to take the Pill. It'll make me look fat.
cetoole Posted June 2, 2010 Report Posted June 2, 2010 but eating a well prepared dry aged steak medium or more is like eating sushi after boiling it. Well prepared=still mooing. Which is how dinner will be cooked tonight.
grawk Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I agree, tho I was talking about the aging. I was saying cooking the blood out of a steak like that is a sin. I prefer them branded and complaining.
n_maher Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I bought FedEx Express shipping so that one of my DIY hommies can get his amp done in time for CanJam. I also printed by boarding pass for tomorrow's flight, although I guess I paid for that a while ago.
mypasswordis Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 I prefer them when they're still growing in the mother cow's womb. Just stick a straw in and enjoy.
manaox2 Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Life on Blu-Ray narrated by Attenborough. I prefer them when they're still growing in the mother cow's womb. Just stick a straw in and enjoy. I try to fistulate to fit my fist in; like it solid for a meal. Of course, for a pick me up the straw is helpful too, drinking blood is a renewable food source.
mypasswordis Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 That's a good way of doing it, I should try that sometime. And the underdeveloped eyes are little desserts.
Nebby Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Life on Blu-Ray narrated by Attenborough. Ditto, thanks for reminding me as the last time I had looked only the Oprah version was available.

mrarroyo Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Kingston 32GB SD card type 4 for an HM-801 that Fang sent me to try. i should receive the SD card by Saturday and I will be able to listen to the HM-801, I hope it sounds at least half as good as some of the reviews I have read. If it happens ... more to come.
HeadphoneAddict Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Kingston 32GB SD card type 4 for an HM-801 that Fang sent me to try. i should receive the SD card by Saturday and I will be able to listen to the HM-801, I hope it sounds at least half as good as some of the reviews I have read. If it happens ... more to come. I cheap'd out and just bought an 8Gb SDHC card to listen to FLAC with the HM-801 that Fang recently sent me to try out. I was able to fit 7 hi-res 24/96 albums downloaded from HDtracks.com onto that card (with 2 more albums on the internal memory). So far after just 2 days I like the 801 enough to seriously replacing my iMod and portable Vcap dock with it. I also don't hear a big treble roll-off as reported by dfkt, but I'm 48 years old and can't hear above 16K if my life depended on it. The problem is that I just don't use a large portable rig anymore; so while the 801 is great as a 24/96 portable DAP, it's still fanny pack sized and I prefer to carry a 5G Nano > Pico Slim in my pants pocket. I can see how this would make a nice office desk rig though - you can easily lock it up when you leave, or take it home.
aardvark baguette Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 2 De La Fresnaye prints for my living room. I've been racking my brain over what artworks to put in there, and finally found 'them'.
Salt Peanuts Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 A new filter for our whole-house air cleaner. I was pleasantly surprised to find it a lot cheaper than I'd expected.
