screaming oranges Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Within 30 minutes of sending money for the A5's, Jeff finds me a pair of Quad 12L actives on a'gon, which I will be paying for shortly. Anyone want some bamboo A5's. Yay Mike! That's awesome, man! See? It was destiny. I picked mine up from you this weekend, and then BAM! You get a pair right back. Someone up there loves ya.

n_maher Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Figured cherry veneer for my soon to be flexy rack. Nice! I think my next rack is going to use 8020...
Nebby Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Nice! I think my next rack is going to use 8020... It's my first rack, so I'm sticking to the road more commonly traveled Only have access to my power drill so I have to keep it simple. That 8020 stuff looks great! It's like an industrial lego set.
Salt Peanuts Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Water filters and replacement insoles.
screaming oranges Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Nice! I think my next rack is going to use 8020... I'm on that as we speak. Been researching for a week now. just shopping for prices. I'm aiming to get as close to an adona rack as possible, however, I'm trying to find circular columns, which would look nicer. Does someone even make those?

The more I read about the 8020 stuff the more I'm interested. What kind of layout are you planning on using for an 8020 based rack? As for the circular columns, would this work perhaps? luvdunhill Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 8020 has an idea book that contains all sorts of rack ideas. I would shoot them an email and see if you can get a copy... Great place to buy angled aluminum as well and large pieces of aluminum, such as blocks, etc. They also have an eBay store that sells among their main line, cut offs and seconds..
Pars Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) Fluke 89 MkIV (should have bought the 189 digger offered up... ) I may have to investigate the 8020 stuff... those are basically what the Salamander Synergy stuff is built from? Edited March 24, 2010 by Pars
Dreadhead Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Another set of wheels. Finally paid for my TT bike and got the fit dialed in: Pick it up this weekend (hopefully)

The Salamander Synergy stuff looks good and the rails on them definitely look like 8020 bars

shellylh Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Bought a pair of Quad 12L actives (cherry gloss) from Lanemart on audiogon! The funny thing is that I was just about set to get a pair of Audioengine A5's when I saw these.
tyrion Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Wow, three pairs in one day. If you still want a pair of A5's let me know.
Nebby Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Definitely like the cherry gloss finish on the Quads! Never heard a Quad before, hopefully I'll get the chance to hear them someday
