Hopstretch Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Nice! If he had it on a Continuum table it's probably had an extremely pampered life, too.
deepak Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Nice! If he had it on a Continuum table it's probably had an extremely pampered life, too. Stretch I take it you missed the $10 Continuum? AudiogoN ForSale: Continuum Audio Labs Criterion turntable
Deadneddz Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 My girlfriend suprised me with this: Cable detachment.....I no longer phear you.
Duggeh Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 The one time I should have had a cable detatchment with my O2, the SRM-717 moved forward. Those pins are TIGHT.
nattonrice Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I call it "ode to a 24 inch monitor"... Beta24 board included for added effect
spritzer Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) The man is a living legend who has designed some very advanced gear and had the gut to actually build it. I need to build a new rack to hold these amp monsters... My girlfriend suprised me with this: Cable detachment.....I no longer phear you. Please post pics of that since I've never seen the brown version. Edited January 4, 2010 by spritzer
nattonrice Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I need to build a new rack to hold these amp monsters... Same here. I've been wanting to do a FleXy for ages so this is the thing that'll finally force my hand =)
Beefy Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I call it "ode to a 24 inch monitor"... Beta24 board included for added effect Holy shit, that really puts it in perspective......
spritzer Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Same here. I've been wanting to do a FleXy for ages so this is the thing that'll finally force my hand =) I'm going to do something similar but not with the metal rods as they are just too ugly and I don't really need the adjustment capability.
Hopstretch Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 That's one way to get a spare driver! Nitty Gritty 2.5Fi-XP
tyrion Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Al, that is a great cart. I've heard it on an HRX. It should be great on your Aries 3.
Beefy Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 A big pile of stuff from BJC...... balanced audio, coax, optical and HDMI cables. I just wish they did custom-length, no-nonsense USB cables as well.
mrarroyo Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 That's one way to get a spare driver! ... Yes, although I am hopeful that Fitz can fix the damaged one. Then I will have a second which I may take to my office.
Voltron Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Nice! If he had it on a Continuum table it's probably had an extremely pampered life, too. I also like the fact that he said never more than 2g VTF to show he wasn't stressing it out. Al, that is a great cart. I've heard it on an HRX. It should be great on your Aries 3. Cool, glad to hear a first-hand impression. The guy at the Analog Room told JP that the PC-1 (12g) is great with VPI/Aries need a heavier cart than the Skala or the Koetsu (each 9g). Todd likes the Titan over the PC-1 in side-by-side listening on the HRX but he still thinks the PC-1 is killer. Should be fun, especially since I have two arm tubes now so switching can be practically instantaneous.
cetoole Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 VIP tickets to see Epica on 1/26. Can't wait.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Oh you bastard. Me: various flavors of human food*, including pumpkin, key lime, and cinnamon/honey; chicken flavored cat food. * Never gets old.
cetoole Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Regular tickets to Arch Enemy on 1/20. Gonna be a good week.
Deadneddz Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Please post pics of that since I've never seen the brown version. Took some pics, but seem to have misplaced my camera cord. I'll upload them as soon as I find it.
Salt Peanuts Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 The Original Mckenzie Lumbar Roll for my chair at work. I'm doing a lot more work at desk now-a-days and I'm hoping this will help with the back pains I've been developing.
morphsci Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 ^^^^That is a kick ass lens. Almost makes me want to switch from Nikon to Canon.
Voltron Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I have that lens too, Mike, and I love it. Congrats.
tyrion Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Thanks guys. I picked it up for about $150 to $200 less than the current market so I felt it would be easy to turn around if it was too much lens for me. Jim, I can make you a nice deal on a Canon 20D.

As good as that sounds, I have way too much invested in Nikon glass. Canon does kick their ass though on the fast telephoto's, at least as of a couple of years ago. I haven't bought any newish lenses for a while, too much new audio gear to buy.
