Fungi Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 Last time I checked a shelf-full != a few
Augsburger Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 (edited) Well on my system I have had great experience with K2 recordings, they just sound right to me. I became addicted to Shelly Manne after I bought The Three & The Two and At The Blackhawk Volume 2. I already have a couple of versions of the Monk CDs including vinyl rips so these will be kind of interesting for comparisons. I almost bought one of the Jessica Williams Live At Yoshi's for my gift exchange partner because I like the sonics on the CD so well but I got the impression from Dany that he might prefer a more contemporary jazz interpretation. The Live At Yoshi's CD is what sold me on the JH Pro13s. Oh, and I need moar vinyl. and the CDs averaged $7.5 at Oldies.com Edited December 12, 2009 by Augsburger

I think it is among very best digital playback I have heard to date.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 All from Sugarloaf Crafts Festival: Olive Oil, Olive Oil-based soap, shampoo, and conditioner Clam Chowder an all-black custom rollerball (ebony with shiny black hardware) some cheesecake pie mix from a chick who kept bending over and showing me her very nice boobies Vermont Maple Syrup -- extra dark and black. Probably should have gotten some light, too, in hindsight, might have to go back in January. The color has more to do with the amount of fermentation and therefore the flavor rather than the amount of flavor, which is an (admittedly incorrect) association I have in my mind.
Hopstretch Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Now there's a nice little unbirthday present!
The Monkey Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Something lite from Nugget Audio. Ah, well done. You will love it.
Salt Peanuts Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 A repair for my car. Thankfully, the repair turned out to be very minor and cost me only $40.
Salt Peanuts Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Bunch of Enelooop batteries so that I'll actually have spares charged up when the ones in use runs out of charge.
The Monkey Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 A bunch of Christmas gifts for family.
