manaox2 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Quad 12L-A & 2Tb Seagate external drive
boomana Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 (edited) That's a beast, V. Did you get my text? Congrats. **BRENT** Yes, but only a bit ago, and I already ordered it. The solid state drives were significantly more expensive. If I hadn't killed my old computer completely, I would have done a bit more research, but this will have to do. EDIT: Just got an email saying it's shipped already. Hoping to have it by Tues or Wed. Edited November 27, 2009 by boomana
Duggeh Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 BBC News - 'World's strongest' beer with 32% strength launched
Hopstretch Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 "Tactical Nuclear Penguin" I've had a couple of the Sam Adams Utopias at 27% and, while they are damn fine, they aren't really beer.
morphsci Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 (edited) George T. Stagg - 2009 - 141.4 Proof. Good Stuff. Edit: They had another bottle if anyone is interested ($85.59 with tax). Edited November 27, 2009 by morphsci
Duggeh Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I bought 1 share in the brewary too. 20% off all beer ordered on their website for the rest of my life. That'll pay for itself in the first 28 days
Hopstretch Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 How about this for a deal? You scare up some Tactical Nuclear Penguin for CanJam and I'll bring some Utopias and we'll have a little ABV-off. Everyone else will be drinking GTS, so we'll be the sober ones!
Duggeh Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Chances of the Penguin getting to Canjam are Pico-Slim to none.
Duggeh Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Brewdog will have more than one other interesting limited batch in the next 6 months. I'm sure They're also setting up a new limited batch brand which kicks off in the new year.
shellylh Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Other World Computing Mercury On-The-Go Pro 500GB 5400RPM Triple Interface FW800/FW400/USB 2.0 & 1.1 Storage Solution http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/on-the-go I assume that I can reuse the enclosure in the future if I want to upgrade to a SSD or larger/faster SATA drive since they sell them separately.

tkam Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 first audio related purchase in awhile, ordered a pair of HE-5s
tyrion Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 first audio related purchase in awhile, ordered a pair of HE-5s I am so tempted to order a pair. I am trying to hold out until the meet and try Colin's.
GPH Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 4GB Sansa Clip+ I got curious and picked one on the cheap, and I have to say I'm really impressed by this device for the price. No frills MP3/FLAC player, sounds good and it's so small that I could almost lose it in my pocket, plus it's got one ultramodern feature that Apple still hasn't implemented, the FM radio. Don't get me wrong, it won't replace my Touch, but it's the perfect sports/gym throwaway player and I bet I'll use it a lot.
guzziguy Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 (edited) I am so tempted to order a pair. I am trying to hold out until the meet and try Colin's. Wow, that's 8 whole days away. How will you ever make it. Here's wishing you luck! Edited November 28, 2009 by guzziguy
The Monkey Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Oh, er, I forgot to mention...Parasound D/AC 1100.
morphsci Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Oh, er, I forgot to mention...Parasound D/AC 1100. Dinny! Small sips of the GTS. Small sips!
Nebby Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Whiteside 3/4" radius round-over bit. Going to do a larger round over on the sr-71 bookshelf speakers
Nebby Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Wow Voltron, that's on my to-buy list; how do you like it?
Voltron Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Don't have it yet, Nebby. Just bought it for delivery on Tuesday. I have the 70-200 f/4L and an older wide angle L lens, so this will fill a gap for me and be an all-rounder when I need that. I think I am going to take it to the meet next weekend, so I will -- and likely you -- will see how it does.
