n_maher Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Very nice! A function generator is probably the next major test equipment purchase for me, but I am not really sure what to look for or from where. Colin, Let's talk. Maybe I'll bring mine down to the NYC meet and you can borrow it and see how you like it?

aardvark baguette Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 2 bass traps and 3 wall panels. I stopped by my house briefly after work to view the progress w/ the floor refinishing and its like a big empty (and smelly) echo chamber. The floors look about 1000 times better though.
Augsburger Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Pfttt, you don't need those, you need these-
Dusty Chalk Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I like that. You buy room treatments before you finish buying furniture.
Dreadhead Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Pfttt, you don't need those, you need these- I bought one of these: Me happy. More info RacerMate
aardvark baguette Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 heh, it won't be as much of an echo chamber once you have it furnished. assuming you weren't going to just put one of those metal chairs in the middle and nothing else. \ That actually would be kinda cool. But thats a bit sparse even for me. I'm 'inheriting' a brown leather couch that will go in the living room, and the ikea stuff (tv unit/ end unit(s)) and I may get one of those expedit book cases to put on the back wall to act as a sort of diffusor. Possibly some sort of drawer unit as well, in time. I'm still undecided on what speakers I'll be going with though. I've decided ot go the high-efficiency route though. I'm considering Omegas, the new Zu Essence (since it has a new ribbon tweeter) and maybe Devore Gibbon Super 8s. I'm holding off on Harbeths as they will be in another room I'll be furnishing later on.

luvdunhill Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Abloy Protec Single Cylinder w/ Lockable Thumbturn Deadbolt hm, where's my pick gun ... yeah, that's cheating I know, but..
penger Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.26GHz and Vyper XS2 bag I approve of the case. I had one for my now retired IBM Thinkpad. I dunno about getting a plastic case though. My macbook pro runs pretty hot all by itself, you might run into cooling issues.
en480c4 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 (2) Goodyear MT/R 245/75R16 tires w/ 11/32" tread remaining (of 19/32") for $100. Considering my rear tires were near bald, I wanted to get something before winter, but didn't want to spring for new rubber all the way around. Tough deal to beat considering they were only $16 each to get mounted and balanced.

Sherwood Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Marc, I'm sure you'll discover this, but the best way to use crazedlist is to enter a search term for a selected area, then make an RSS feed of the results. Load the feed into any reader, and you never need to actually check craigslist again.
