swt61 Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 there is no evidence that diet soda causes cancer. Shhhh! We're trying to keep Deepak busy.
Fitz Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Bah, don't listen to that site, they're just trying to help them sap our precious bodily fluids.
manaox2 Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 You need help man, like AA but for mountain dew. Diet sodas tend to increase sugar cravings. I've personally seem him lick the leftover sugar off of a silver platter and then pop whoppers out of a jug back to back. The look in the eyes, the glaze got transferred right off of the donuts. Please, this is an intervention. Get help.
swt61 Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Betty was 5'1" and 102 Lbs. when she decided she needed to lose 3 Lbs. for her second wedding anniversary. Betty decided that diet cola was the road to weight loss. This is Betty 3 months later... Don't be a Betty!
morphsci Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 My judgement is reserved on the NCI study. As of yet it is not published as a full paper in a peer reviewed journal. I also asked them for a copy of the data and as of today (more than a year later) I do not have it. You can draw your own conclusions.
luvdunhill Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 A bunch of things from mscdirect.com. That place should be on the evil list along with mcmaster-carr, Mouser, etc.

cetoole Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Sounds like a recipe for some DIY speakers.
Pars Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Apple Airport Express card for my G5 PM. Getting fucking tired of the unsupported Linksys card in here that I have to use WirelessUtilityCardBus from I don't remember who to connect. Under WPA, takes 4-10+ tries to get connected. Enough. Refurb (from Apple) computer had the antenna, so WTF. Resurrected my Linksys router a week ago (reset and reflashed it) after a couple of power outages during the day left it's line-side port not working. Thought I was going to have to ask for router recommendations and get the usual $180 Airport Extreme recommendations that were more than I wanted to spend at the time Is using 3rd party firmware (WRT54G series 4) worth it if you don't want to fuck with settings much? If so, which one?
The Monkey Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 grawk and cetoole told me about this: DD-WRT :: News But I have a v6 and it was going to be a pain in the ass.
cetoole Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Damn, wish I knew you were looking for an airport express card, just had a g5 imac die that had one in it. DD-WRT is certainly worthy IMO, and it looks like the WRT54g v4 is a good candidate for it.
Aura Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Adcom GDA600 and fare for a bus ride home.
Smeggy Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 A 12x12" sheet of perforated stainless steel and a 12x18 sheet of perforated aluminium.
Iron_Dreamer Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 DD-WRT is great. I've been running it on a Buffalo WHR-HP-54G for a few years now.
Dusty Chalk Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 2 containers of pineapple chunks (probably my second favorite vegetable after bananas) Olive Oil Cat food 1 cold Orange Crush (for the road, y'know) 3 boxes cereal (Weggy brand faux-Mini-Wheats) Shit, I forgot the OJ!
Beefy Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 Some most delicious Portuguese fortified wine. I had it first (and last) almost 10 years ago, when I helped a mate finish off the last bottle he brought over from South Africa - then could never find it again until now......
