Augsburger Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Nice! And: which ones are SACD's -- did someone have a sale? Actually I think you posted the notice for this, it was Oldies.com and the clearance sale is still going on. There are two glitches though which I just discovered. First, the descriptions for the CDs are not the most detailed nor accurate. I bought the Kenney Burrell and Coltrane CD, it was listed as RB format but it was SACD. The second glitch which may be a deal killer for some, all the CDs have promo cuts on the cases so this virtually kills the secondary market value if you ever want to sell the CD at a later date. On the other hand, I got free shipping.
Dusty Chalk Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Oh yeah, that was me! Yeah, they shouldn't advertise promos as new, but at $5/pop, it's still a great deal. I'll have to go back and see if it's still going on.
Augsburger Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 It is, dew eeeet! I started to get out of hand on the order and adjusted my order from 50 CDs to 25 CDs (dropping some SACDs in the process). Nonetheless I bought 25 CDs with an average price of $5.40 per, not bad.
HeadphoneAddict Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 RV Awning de-flapper You wouldn't need one of those if you would simply retract the awning before you drive away.
guzziguy Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Recuperative still? Or are you looking forward to a second career in bodybuilding? Nope, just trying to age somewhat gracefully. I hate exercise and by paying for a PT, I'm forced to go do it. DigiPete Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 For my birthday... I traded my Modwright SWL 9.0SE Signature tube preamp for: Modwright SWLP 9.0SE Signature tube preamp with tube phono Dan Wright is building the unit as we speak. I heard the SWP9.0SE Sig phono last weekend, and liked the sound better than my Pass Pearl Phono, so....
tyrion Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) Nice! I really liked the SWL 9.0SE that was lent to me a while back. Are the only changes from the 9.0SE the phono section and outboard ps? Edited August 6, 2009 by tyrion
