Voltron Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Dan's Blue Hawaii I'm pretty sure I just sent Dan my 4070s to try out with his BH. Hmm.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 (edited) Dammit, they're going to sound pretty quiet without an amp. Hey Dan, you wanna borrow my SRM-310? (snicker) Me: bananas pineapple raspberries strawberries shampoo conditioner (trying a new brand) $11 of Assam tea (!) Weggy's rules! Edited July 17, 2009 by Dusty Chalk
deepak Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Did you just email him today? Weird that he didn't even reply to me.
Torpedo Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Dan's Blue Hawaii Congratulations to both. It's a pity that having it converted to 230V operation needed "some" time to be effective. Maybe I should have waited Some regrets here...
spritzer Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 ...so I should start to assemble some PCB's for you then?
swt61 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Mmmm, that looks like a good start toward Eggs Benedict.
Dreadhead Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 I'm not shipping the blue hawaii anywhere yet Glad to hear it
Torpedo Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 ...so I should start to assemble some PCB's for you then? Hahahaha that'd be great. The "problem" is casing the PCBs and having something decent to look at. If I don't have the place to fill a PCB with parts, imagine to drill holes, mounting connectors, soldering wires and all that stuff which is the hardest to do when DIYing
Smeggy Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Nice one Colin, those are spiffy! Yup, same as mine.

That's the best part about P-P tube amps, you have to do the chassis work first before anything else.
Torpedo Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Yep, for point to point wiring you need the chassis, otherwise the thing would be a mess of huge proportions
