Old Pa Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I was not a fan at all of the older white ball. The feel of the odyssey white inserts were always too soft for me. This one seems to have improved on that quite a bit. I liked the original two-ball's face balanced mallet head with low CG and natural alignment (which works with my pendulum), and the elastomer insert was on a par with other offerings of the period. I did not like the reflectivity of the stainless head in bright sun, although not enough to buy a black one when those came out. The loft and feel seemed reasonable, and I had confidence in being able to get a good roll if I did my part. The Black Series just makes everything significantly better. Since I am not seeing any drivers that inspire me to replace my 460 Launcher (if I make a good swing, it works), I figured I'd go after the short end of my game.
naamanf Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 ah, i didn't realize you could get xikars for $40. hmm, i might have to look at them again. i have a couple xikar cutters, and i really like them. I have this one. Purchased at a local B&M. Element Lighters

I hope the black works out for you! and the Launcher is a great driver. My friend has one and if I hit it right, I can get about 10 yards further then my Callaway one.
jp11801 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I have this one. Purchased at a local B&M. Element Lighters I've had this one for two years or steady use and about 100 cigars a year. The adjustment wheel fell off early on and it's not the most economical with fluid but other than that a solid performer. Enigma Lighters

I haven't yet.

grawk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Is there a contradiction there? I have heartbreaker on MFSL sacd, and now on vinyl.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 No, I'm just not sure what it has to do with:
grawk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 ah. ok, I think he was trying to point you to that image, and just meant page instead of post
deepak Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I've never liked the feel of Odyssey putters using the demo mats in stores. But once I got used to them on real greens, they are now my favorite.
grawk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 I've mostly used a bullseye. I do have an older odyssey, too.
Old Pa Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 buh? Ooops . . .#9767; I had 204 posts before that last one.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Oh, your 204th post in this thread. Yeah, I saw thing that sparked the whole discussion, didn't know what it was. Didn't know when I posted the comment, but I'm pretty sure Chris was right -- it's a golf club.
jinp6301 Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 More specifically its a mallet putter from Odyssey
Old Pa Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Oh, your 204th post in this thread. Nope, at HeadCase, total. I'd much rather be exploring my inner cosmos with that thing-hickie.
