xand1x Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 do birkenstocks count? better believe it
Dusty Chalk Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 No, we've already had a ruling on them. They're hippy shoes, not slippers.
hungrych Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Tickets to the Roots at the Nokia Theater in Times Square next friday! And ER-20s!
postjack Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Tickets to the Roots at the Nokia Theater in Times Square next friday! And ER-20s! "step into the realm you're bound to get caught / and from this worldly life you'll soon depart" <- ?uestlove those motherfuckers define what a hip-hop show is. completely electrifying.
JBLoudG20 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 I have two pairs of birkenstocks, lol
postjack Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I have two pairs of birkenstocks, lol the only non-dress shoes I own are birks and new balances.
JBLoudG20 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 I don't wear my birks often anymore... I have been wearing a Kenneth Cole NY loafer most of the time.
Dusty Chalk Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Nothing wrong with Birkenstocks, but (a) they're not slippers, and ( they're hippie shoes. As long as you are comfortable with your inner hippie, be at peace.
ojnihs Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 those motherfuckers define what a hip-hop show is. completely electrifying. this brings about an anger i've stored for a few months. long story short: Northwestern's spring concert, Dillo Day, last year, my senior year, was headlined by non-other than the Roots, which made me so happy i could have pissed my pants. it was raining, so they moved it inside our smallest gymnasium, which kept us from getting in to see them until their two final songs. why am i pissed? because security said the gym was full, when it was only 1/4 full when i finally got in. fuckers.

I didnt even know who they were until someone told me that they work with Fall Out Boy

deepak Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 I have two pairs of birkenstocks, lol These things refuse to break. I have a pair that's 6 years old.
en480c4 Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 These things refuse to break. I have a pair that's 6 years old. I just semi-retired my pair that are 10 years old. They're beat to hell, but so very comfortable. No cork left under the toes, holes through the leather under my big toes, not one bit of the tread patter left, and about half way through the cork on the heels. 3 months into my new ones, and they've got a long way to go to get as good as the old ones
grawk Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 My pair of birks I bought in 1987. But I haven't worn them with any regularity in 10 years.
JBLoudG20 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 My original pair I got in 7th grade. so that was... 11 years ago? I've had them resoled 4 times, recorked twice. They are due for another resole. I bought a fairly new pair about 4 years ago, whose have been soled once. Neither pair look older than one season.
deepak Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Mine still have all the cork intact. There is quite a depression where the calcaneus rests on the sandal. And these have seen very heavy use in the spring/summer times. I pretty much wore them all the time unless I was golfing, running or playing tennis. They need to break so I can replace them with some hemp sandals :420:
grawk Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Mine still have hte original sole. On dead tour, if your birks looked new, you couldn't buy drugs
mulveling Posted September 28, 2007 Report Posted September 28, 2007 Well, here's the last thing I got that I didn't buy: new iMac 24" screen 2.8 GHz 2 GB RAM sooo pretty...

JBLoudG20 Posted September 28, 2007 Author Report Posted September 28, 2007 I hope so, or he is one womanly man.
