en480c4
D2000s. Definitely remembering why I liked these at the NYC meet last fall. Hardly perfect, but a nice (closed) complement to my HF-1s. Texture is big for me, and these seem to excel in that regard. Heading to Woodcraft at lunch to see what they have for wood and a chuck for the inevitable modifications to follow
Knuckledragger
The entire catalog of Abysoma Records (all three releases.) I bought straight from the company. Even with USD/EUR exchange rate and shipping from Spain, the price was still less than was gouging US dealers wanted.

Voltron
Willett Potstill Single Barrel Estate Reserve Bourbon. 8-10 yrs old, 94 proof, and damn fine tasting. Very much looking forward to the Iron Fist 23yo rye that Dreadhead is picking up for me from DC and bringing to the Tampa meet. 1990 Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist Islay Single Malt Whisky. When I was getting the Willett, I had to check out the Scotch selection and this Ardbeg caught my eye standing next to the Oogie. It was bottled the year I was admitted to the bar, and they only had one bottle so I went with it. Can't wait to try it tonight, but I went with the Willett last night. tyrion
Al, where are you buying this stuff from?
Voltron
These two came from K&L Wines in SF. They have a website and describe their shipping policy here. I found the Willett Iron Fist 23yo rye online at a DC shop called Ace Beverage. If you want to pick up the Velvet Glove to go with my Iron Fist next week, then check in with The Wine Specialist, which is also in DC, and see if they can ship to Matt or something. Voltron
a local place here has the Beist, but i haven't tried it yet. it's supposed to be very good. if you ever see Ardbeg's Lord of the Isles, pick it up, but expect to pay over $300. it's tremendous stuff (i received a 700ml Euro bottle when i was reviewing Scotch for a now defunct Japanese website). I just read something about that stuff, so I will see if it is around. The Baysht is supposed to be a little less of a peat smack than the 10yo or the Oogie. Should be able to say for sure this evening.

thrice
you're such a nerd Geek.... but that's cool. The Macallan 18 makes feel OK about that was it one of the horrid Woz ads that made you get one? No. Been looking for a new jacket and this seemed to fit the bill. We'll see how it goes. I'm cautiously optimistic about it.
