Absorbine_Sr Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 classic. how is the Opus 21 treating you, btw? Quite nicely. I'm still in the initial stages of listening, but there are levels of detail there that are not heard in my X-Ray. Similar to how I described your Capitole - everything coming together so that detail isn't a thing unto itself but a part of the complete performance. I still think your Capitole has the edge on the Opus (stock at least) but not a huge edge. I'm looking forward to those MS2i's at the end of the week. That should be fun in this rig.

Salt Peanuts Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 is The War of the Worlds good? I liked it, when I heard couple pieces off of it a long while back. For $4, I figured it was worth taking a chance on my audio memory. It's hybrid-sacd, too.
Salt Peanuts Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense Also reacquired few Massive Attack albums that I've managed to misplace over the years.

Nanoha Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 So where did you find one? Congrats, btw. Whyjah. It is however in rather poor condition. I'm hoping Zach and/or Alex can help me get it back up to speed.
Dusty Chalk Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Re: War of the Worlds -- one of my favourite double-record concept albums of all time. I would liken it to Alan Parsons' I, Robot in a lot of ways.
