Chekhonte Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 what the hell is up with you floridians and guns?!
guzziguy Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 They're going to shoot the next hurricane that comes through.
Grahame Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 what the hell is up with you floridians and guns?!
Hopstretch Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Sorry to interrupt the firepower debate, but I got a pair of HF-1s in the mail today and I'm quite chuffed with them so far. Have been listening out of the Duet as the LD can't drive them for toffee. Hopefully my GS-1 will be here any day now to take care of that problem.
Voltron Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Is "chuffed" good or bad? I really like the HF-1, and think of them as being pretty easy to drive. Congrats to Cankin on the DACMagic. Waiting for impressions once you are able to amplify your headphones. Curious what the heck a balanced Mini^3 is, however.
909 Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 chuffed | ch əft| |tʃʌft| |tʃəft| adjective [ predic. ] Brit., informal very pleased : I'm dead chuffed to have won.
Voltron Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 I was going to look it up, but quite sporting of you to lend a hand old chap.
Hopstretch Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Ponces. Actually the initial slam on the Little Dot was my fault. I had the dip switches set for high-impedance phones. Much better now, though it still does a better job generally with the Senns. Bass is a little floppy with the HF-1s.
boomana Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Congrats on the HF1s. I'm quite fond of them as well. As for Floridians and guns, I dunno. I grew up in Michigan with guns, think they're fun, like knowing how to use one, like being able to carry one if I need to, and am non-violent by choice and nature. I'll go out of my way to avoid any situation that might warrant using one, but I would if I had to. It's been my experience that people who are against guns have never been trained to use one well, and...
tyrion Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Not a gun fan and have been trained to use one.
boomana Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 Not a gun fan and have been trained to use one. and then there's Mike
n_maher Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 and then there's Mike Add Nate to that group as well. I've attended the SigArms Academy, still don't want a gun although I hold nothing against those that do.
tyrion Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 and then there's Mike You didn't expect anything less, did you?
Beefy Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 ATH-ESW10PN coming soon Nice! But all you ESW9/10 owners are making me jealous. I was a day away from grabbing one from my local store, but they ran out of stock. New stock is hugely more expensive due to the free-falling Aussie dollar - I just can't justify it for a portable

Two mini^3 in balance mode(no, not the double mini^3 by KB !), Nate had one before, I think he can describe how it sounds
n_maher Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Two mini^3 in balance mode(no, not the double mini^3 by KB !), Nate had one before, I think he can describe how it sounds Most of the folks who heard in at the NY meet I brought it to were pretty surprised at what it could do. It's one of the few amps I regret selling, it was just too cool.
jinp6301 Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 That + the Hertsens DAC was pretty sweet
Cankin Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 I don't think I can do a valid comparison between DacMagic and other DACs I've heard, because this is my first balanced source and the is my first balanced rig, but I'll try to do an overall impression of my rig
Duggeh Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 Link would be great indeed! It's a B-TECH BT913 (or BT 913). It's not on their website though.
