Grahame
Thanks for picking up all those goodies, Grahame! I will bring a few things too, but let me know if you think of something in particular. Folding Table?, extension leads? and if your are coming from Fairfax, maybe some of Scoops finest? krrm
Looks neat but what do you do with such an air gun? Just for training, we have a couple of similar guns at work, and I discovered that it was mighty fun to shoot with such a pistol. The big deal with air guns is that you can use them almost everywhere. what does it shoot? It shoots this kind of pellets: It is a 4.5 mm, so the ones from the front row will fit. Hopstretch
Four new 235/65R17s. Not the most fun way to spend that kind of money, but at least it's immediately apparent they are much better than the original tires which came on the car. Augsburger
Fortyeight dollars worth of sushi just for me. Lesson learned, never order sushi when you have spent the whole day at a meet and haven't eaten for thirtysix hours. And NEVER order sushi when you are hungry and have had a lot of the large Sapporo beers!
grawk
$48 is cheaper than I've ever spent on sushi for myself, I think, unless it was just a couple of pieces as an appetizer . There was a week in 99 when I dropped just north of $2k on sushi in a week (bought for my parents and my wife's, in 2 trips to the sushi bar )
guzziguy
Stacy and I did a $400+ shopping spree at the Beverage Warehouse in LA yesterday. Highlights are: btl of Black Maple Hill Rye 23 yr old. 8 btls of Russian River Brewing Co. "Pliny the Elder" 3 Lucid Absinthe sets with glasses. 2 are for friends, 1 for me. Lesson learned, never order sushi when you have spent the whole day at a meet and haven't eaten for thirtysix hours. And NEVER order sushi when you are hungry and have had a lot of the large Sapporo beers! I've never spent that much on sushi in one sitting even under the influence of Sapporo. That said I'm more of a oyakodon, sukiyaki and okonomiyaki man myself. With Japanese restaurants it's the sake bill that tends to hurt my wallet most. DOTU Bi-Wire Shorties are now hooked up to the Harbeths and are showing a nice improvement in separation, extension and detail over the single pair with crap jumpers.
