Knuckledragger Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 $12 shipped only I'm starting lomo That's pretty cool. I had a lot of fun with a dollar store camera a while back.
thrice Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Rims for my Geo Metro. Geo Metros for my rims. A rim job on the Metro.
aardvark baguette Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 That's pretty cool. I had a lot of fun with a dollar store camera a while back. Pinhole cameras FTW. I made one out of a Double Gulp cup from 711 in college.
GPH Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I'm tired of sticking IEMs in my ears when using public transportation because it's PITA to put them and remove them when people are trying to talk to me. I've never heard closed headphones other than cheap Sony's, so it's a totally blind buy.
morphsci Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Nice! Welcome to the club, I will PM you the secret handshake.
GPH Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Nice! Welcome to the club, I will PM you the secret handshake. Cool, I wasn't aware there was some kind of secret HD25 worshipping club. How do you like them in comparison to the rest of your stuff?
morphsci Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 How do you like them in comparison to the rest of your stuff? Soundwise, I think they are the best closed headphones that can be driven by a reasonably powered amplifier. My only issue with them is that after 1 1/2 to 2 hours they become uncomfortable for me to wear. That's why I use them at my home desktop (shorter listening sessions) but not at work where I use recabled Denon D2000s (longer listening sessions). They don't get any play on the big rig since I much prefer any of my balanced cans.
Knuckledragger Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Nice! Welcome to the club, I will PM you the secret handshake. Secret handshake? Hell, there's a MySpace profile for those things.
morphsci Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Secret handshake? Hell, there's a MySpace profile for those things. Now that is impressive, if a little weird.
JBLoudG20 Posted June 18, 2008 Author Report Posted June 18, 2008 Ety ER-20's. Tiesto coming up next week, gotta be prepared. Also Shure Medium soft flex sleeves for the E2c. I hear they fit reasonably well on the Triple.fi, and these sleeves just fit me so well.

Dusty Chalk Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Mostly black Invicta through woot. I probably should have passed, the thing is only 1mm smaller than my ultra-uber-huge one.
gauche Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Continental Ultra Gatorskin Tires - 700 x 23 (x2)
Fitz Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Too much junk on my workbench right now to actually put it in service though. Time to clean up again. \
Augsburger Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Continental Ultra Gatorskin Tires - 700 x 23 (x2) Very nice! I love Contis. On what wheels? Have to be carbon fiber wheels yes?
Duggeh Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Some 120ohm ortho drivers and a K500 housing.
gauche Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Very nice! I love Contis. On what wheels? Have to be carbon fiber wheels yes? Augsburger, thanks but no, not the Ultra Gatorskins, the Kevlar belt makes them a bit heavy for max speed. These Contis are going on the commuter with classic Mavic Open4CDs. I've blown out a Specialized Turbo (sidewall) and a Hutchinson, tomorrow I'll see if the Contis can handle it. For speed I still prefer Vittoria CXs.
spritzer Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Some 120ohm ortho drivers and a K500 housing. Just got my 120ohm ortho drivers an hour or so ago but they will be fun to play with. I should also finally get my Beta22 later today which has been sitting in customs for over a week...
JBLoudG20 Posted June 19, 2008 Author Report Posted June 19, 2008 Yesterday I pulled the trigger on the Triple.Fi. I was able to net it for $280 BNIB from an authorized retailer. This was done by taking advantage of a promotion to get a free D-Jay, and selling them to net $50. Then with the sale of other 'phones, I managed to pull out with only $130 missing from my pocket. Then if i take into account the few cable deals I picked up to help finance this purchase, they are really only costing me about $75. Considering I expected to drop all of my $400 stimulus check on them, I think I did pretty well My savings account is happy.
aardvark baguette Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Nice. I was able to get my Shure e530s new for about $310 via Amazon marketplace. Thats only half of my stimulus check, but I did the patriotic thing and spent the other half as well. Also at Amazon. **pats self on back**
