tyrion Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 The easiest way to config them is over ethernet. Once you've done that you should be able to unplug. I will give it a try later and report back.
n_maher Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Ety P to S converter cable - sounded like my boy Reks needed one to use with his Touch and one happened to pop up cheap on HF this morning so I grabbed it. Expect this to show up in the "what you sold" thread soon.
tyrion Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 The easiest way to config them is over ethernet. Once you've done that you should be able to unplug. You were right. I disconnected the ethernet connection to the mac mini and the green light stayed on. I've listened for about 20 minutes without any streaming issues.
Salt Peanuts Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Yay for fresh install! Incidentally, how are you liking the touch? I've been tempted, mostly to use as a PDA, since using Palm with Mac is bit of a pain, though $500 price tag is bit high.
tyrion Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Congrats on the iMac. They are pretty sweet machines.
OverlordXenu Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 I don't know, having to get rid of a monitor in addition to a machine never really appealed to me. I don't like the Dell XPS One, iMacs, etc. And, personally, I don't think there is a better keyboard than an IBM Model M. Those things are tanks. I got a camera bag recently...It's freaking huge, though.
JBLoudG20 Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 sechs on the iMac? If you insist...
ojnihs Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 i'm amazed at how cool this machine runs. my MBP's CPU tends to run about 60-65* C with normal use, and this thing has been pegged at 45*C. really nice. we need more pics!
Iron_Dreamer Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 here is another one of my patented, blurry low light photos: Who pissed in Rex's fishtank again?
mulveling Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 I also have some nice tubes from Earl, on the way. Tung-Sol 6su7's for the Zana Deux. I'm pretty sure that's the last thing I've bought.

tyrion Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 battery for Nottingham motor upgrade project This sounds interesting.
postjack Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 What kind?? We are still many weeks away from the final product, but I'm pretty excited to be purchasing my first nice headphone stand. Its going to be for my black and silver OII. Steve said he'll use wenge and asian satinwood, which I think will look downright snazzy with the OII. It'll be a hanging type design, small enough to still be used with the Stax SPC-1 protective cover.
