shellylh Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 A case of founders breakfast stout for $71 Approved. Good stuff.
mikeymad Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 4 tickets to Roger Waters Plays The Wall at AT&T Park next May, for a lot more than $71. Rock on.. (thx Al) I got 2 ) Yep a lot more than the $15+ I paid to see him in 1987 on the Radio KAOS tour. @ the fabulous forum...
shellylh Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 (edited) Shelly I think I was referring to the new Arete, the KGSS and (your post op) Blue Hawaii. then again I am not sure since that was a long time ago, 25 hours at least. What about Amarra 4 and Perfectestwave? Edited November 16, 2011 by shellylh
swt61 Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 What about Amarra 4 and Perfectestwave? Why does that sound like an 80's haircut?
jvlgato Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Why does that sound like an 80's haircut? Didn't Dinny say he had that haircut?
Absorbine_Sr Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 Tickets to see Rocket From The Tombs (70's Ohio precursor band to Pere Ubu and The Dead Boys). Old fuckers like me but they still rock it.
Absorbine_Sr Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Dolin Rouge, Dolin Dry and Punt e Mes vermouth's from DrinkUpNY.
Bigguy Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Al, and Mikey, How did you get Wall tix already? I gotta get me 2 tix.
Voltron Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 I had a pre-order option. I still can get you 2 more if you want me to try, Lloyd. PM me with interest and max price per ticket.
Knuckledragger Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Canon PowerShot S95. Again. This time from AMZN because the 'Egg has earned my ire. 2004 dowtempo comp with an awkward name. The Andain track on here is UNOBTANIUM. It appears on no other releases, due to exclusive licensing with the record label -- which went bust right after this release. A friend of mine asked me "can't you get it in FLAC?" to which I said "I can't even get it in mp3. I have a sodding YouTube rip of it." A best-of and rarities collection from one of my favorite live acts for nearly 20 years now. This will replace some old vinyl copies which survived my 20s.
mikeymad Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Only bought the beers - the wine was a gift - had to run to UPS to pick them up...
cetoole Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 What? And you kept this from Fitz and I, at MOAII? I didn't know you guys were so interested in being poor skiers. I mean, I guess living in Texas and Atlanta would mean you wouldn't have much practice... Where are you going? Hunter Mountain. No where exciting, but I am looking forward to it.
jvlgato Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Bought a new bathroom. Will be installed next weekend.
swt61 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 My bathroom remodels usually take a bit longer, so I'm guessing this is something different?
RudeWolf Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Finally got my HD25-II, would not say that I like them more than my SR80i, though these are much more convenient. The guy I bought from went really crazy with the packaging- everything was basically floating in paper strips. They could have dropped the box from a plane and it would have landed safe! Now back to brain-burn-in process...
jvlgato Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 My bathroom remodels usually take a bit longer, so I'm guessing this is something different? Well, I should say I HOPE it's installed over next weekend, but really, they're starting on Wednesday ... so it's a long weekend, with the expectation that it'll probably spill over a bit.
grawk Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 The rule of thumb I've always followed: double the time and the cost given in the estimate, and you'll probably not be pissed off at the outcome (although it may still be higher than that)
jvlgato Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 The rule of thumb I've always followed: double the time and the cost given in the estimate, and you'll probably not be pissed off at the outcome (although it may still be higher than that) Yeah ... I've kind of noticed I need that attitude, already.
swt61 Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) I don't estimate from the hip. A lot of contractors do, but I don't believe in it. I use good software, and am usually very close to final cost, barring COs. Many will underbid purposely to seem cheaper up front. My bids are higher than most, but in the end I'm cheaper many times. Also an average full bathroom remodel usually takes me a month. That's high end, usually with elaborate tile designs. Edited November 17, 2011 by swt61
