Planning to buy some Chinato today. Which should I pick up?

Damilano Barolo Chinato (~$55 for 500ml)

or

Vergano Chinator Moscato Luli (~$50 for 500ml)

I think they sometimes carry the Cocchi Barolo Chinato, they must be out. I could also wait until they get that back in stock.

Looking forward to your impression of the Partida.

Just had some Partida, and some Casa Noble, and some Avion (all anejos)... for science of course. Casa Noble is still the winner (for me) but all three are really good. I honestly cannot decide which I like better between the Avion and Partida - maybe the Partida, by a nose. Both are better than Don Julio without a doubt. Guess more experimentation is in order. Do you think I could get a grant to fund this research? ;)

Great haul Shelly--is that Pink Floyd wine or something? Dark Side of the Vine? I just had a wonderful Bols punch, Shelly, so check the drinkin' thread.

Beautiful blade, Jacob.

The company is called "Wines than Rock." This was the 2006 Pink Floyd Cabernet edition. I had some with dinner yesterday. Was good for the price but I wouldn't run back and get a case of it. I think the problem was that I wasn't listening to the Dark Side of the Moon with it... evidently that is part of the directions. "Now pop the cork, turn up Pink Floyd & enjoy the taste of The Dark Side of the Moon." ;)

better than Don Julio? i'm not nearly as knowledgable of tequila as i am of whisk(e)y, but i've always really liked Don Julio, so that really intrigues me.

thanks, Al! really quite sharp out of the box; whoever does the sharpening there (and it may very well be Yoshida-san) knows what he's doing. the know will be even better with the handle i'm having made for me by the inimitable Tice.

In my last taste test (before the Partida), I liked both the Casa Noble and the Avion more than Don Julio and the Partida was very close to the Avion. DJ just seemed a bit too subdued, too smooth. It is still very good and I plan to keep some around in my cabinet. The CN is clearly #1 in my book. I should do more testing. :)

Cider donuts made my mouth water instantly. Sounds delicious Salty.

Dinny, you are a clever man. Keep the house cleaner out of your liquor cabinet this time!

Very nice Tom. That was awesome of you.
