Grahame Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) For the desktop. Albeit in piano black. I really like the organic aesthetic overall, although the port may be a little ... too ... organic. Vivid Audio, eh? All the better to pair with the Vivid Video Entertainment? mikeymad Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 ^nice speakers Stretch! ^ This is the best I could get my rig looking. The damn mobo power cord running straight across still bothers me to this day. I like it... looks like you need a lot more drives to filler up...
Aura Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 I like it... looks like you need a lot more drives to filler up... Thanks Mikey . The rig is getting fairly dated and I'm hoping to do a large overhaul within the next year or so. Might try my hand at an HTPC build with a case like this - http://www.newegg.co...N82E16811112228.
Hopstretch Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Vivid Audio, eh? All the better to pair with the Vivid Video Entertainment? Yah. It is said that they do not so much vent, as queef.
manaox2 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 And I didn't even do any cable organizing, besides tying up the slack on the fan wires. I just shoved everything over into the unused 5.25" bays or behind the drive cage. I used the same cooler in my build. Its not the coolest of them, but it is truly good and the looks are much better then the competitors. Nice build Fitz!

VPI Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Sold to cover the sales tax on the Vivid's?
Hopstretch Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Oh where, oh where have the mighty Harbeths gone? Trade bait for a KGSSHV.

swt61 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Definitely not too organic Stretch. Those are gorgeous!
swt61 Posted September 1, 2011 Report Posted September 1, 2011 Jings that's a neat build. Ditto! That is sexy!
skullguise Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Nice Vivids! I heard a pair of the larger (still 2 driver) stand-mounted a couple weeks ago, it was surprisingly coherent and musical sounding, not even fully burned in. Bass was a little flabby, but very deep for the size. I expect it would tighten up too.....

Voltron Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Nice haul, Scott! It is a long weekend after all. I dropped my car off this morning with and ended up buying 4 new low profile tires, an oil/filter change, and a new air filter. At least I didn't have to go to the dealer, but I still fucking hate dealing with car maintenance. The tires on this car have been a pain throughout.
Aura Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 (edited) Stone 15th Anniversary Black Ale and Green Tea IPA Let me know what you think about this one Scott. I thought it sounded pretty terrible at first but an acquaintance of mine who's the beer guy at my local store assured me it was excellent. I guess I don't really like tea to begin with so it's probably doomed in my book. Edited September 2, 2011 by Aura

At least I didn't have to go to the dealer, but I still fucking hate dealing with car maintenance. The tires on this car have been a pain throughout. Tell me about tires being a pain. I purchased some non-runflats to swap with the uber rigid runflats on my car. An untrained monkey at Firestone used some sort of primitive tool to remove the OEM tires and damaged the rims. Long story short I had a new set of rims by the end of the week and they let me keep the ones they damaged. Scored some winter wheels for the headache. Hopefully I can make a decent Manhattan now. Couldn't pass on this one
Grahame Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 ... ended up buying 4 new low profile tires, .... The tires on this car have been a pain throughout. Well, If you will insist on driving like Jeremy Clarkson

naamanf Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 ... and boots. I think those are more boondocker than boot,
cetoole Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) I think those are more boondocker than boot, A term derived by snowmobilers in which is used to describe a type of horrid poop. A boondocker (aka sidehiller) is when you are sitting on the throne slightly sideways and your poop, commonly of the runny type, slides down the side of your ass cheek. The term was made by snowmobilers, whom needed a term to describe this occurance, which is very common after eating greasy slider burgers at locals taverns. Snowmobilers used this term because to "boondock" means to tip your sled slightly on the side while riding, this is commonly done while mountain riding, and it is almost as if the poo is riding your ass cheek. Oh, and I got shipping notification on my RK50. Edited September 4, 2011 by cetoole
naamanf Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Try USN boondockers. Way before you kids with these new fangled snow machines.
