DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Strangely, the soft golden bags do not smell like fruit at all. There is something hard inside. are they filled with coconut flesh?
Wmcmanus Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Here you go, Al. Would make a nice stocking stuffer, and BluRay no less... Amazon.com: 2010 San Francisco Giants: The Official World Series Film [blu-ray + DVD Combo]: Tim Lincecum, Buster Posey, Matt Cain, Cody Ross, Major League Baseball: Movies & TV
Voltron Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Yeah, I have to get that. Just had my picture taken with the World Series trophy at the ballpark yesterday. Pretty exciting to have my parents (88 & 84), my oldest brother (60) who went the 2nd ever SF Giants game in 1958 with my dad, and my daughter (15) in the pic. Good stuff.
DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 I've concluded that it's probably not edible, and that it appears to be some kind of constructed item inside. It's flat on top and on the bottom side, which is useful. I thought it would be safe to put it under my DAC. Clearly, my DAC is now elevated about 1 cm higher than it was previosly. Coconut shell then.
Nebby Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Nebby told me to do it, it's his fault. I'm sorry
swt61 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Coconut shell then. Most likely bone matter from some of the young women he's hacked up. And who would really be that surprised?
emelius Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 the neighbors...the neighbors are always surprised...
manaox2 Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 He's crazy! Crazy in the coconut! /frontierpsychiatrist
Salt Peanuts Posted December 7, 2010 Report Posted December 7, 2010 Not really bought, but made contribution to the local NPR station. Here's hoping I win the trip to Italy.
swt61 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 the neighbors...the neighbors are always surprised... Excellent observation! And so true..."He seemed like such a nice young man".
Dusty Chalk Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 In Jacob's case, it'd be, "no, we're just surprised he didn't get caught sooner". All those shovels...
Nebby Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Amazon.com: Tron: Legacy (Amazon MP3 Exclusive Version) [+digital booklet]: Daft Punk: MP3 Downloads Tron Legacy OST mp3 album from amazon for $3.99
Dusty Chalk Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I did not buy this wall of liquor, but if I ever were to take up drinking seriously, this would be one of the first places I'd go. Sorry for the crappy pic.
DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I liked the idea of fruit and vegetables better... but there is a bone-linke shape inside... could also be metal .... At least, the gold feet are functional. Most likely bone matter from some of the young women he's hacked up. And who would really be that surprised?
luvdunhill Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 At least, the gold feet are functional. It's pretty hard to find something that isn't functional for that use.
DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 There were three feet in the package, so the potential for failure was there. It's pretty hard to find something that isn't functional for that use.
DefectiveAudioComponent Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 I just bought a vintage tuner at the second hand store.
penger Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 USPS priority shipping to California. when did USPS priority become so fucking expensive? it wasn't even a large box. between the Netflix DVD stealing and this new surcharge i was hit up for (for it being a box larger than a mousetrap), i think i'm about done with them. Couldn't use one of the flat rate boxes? I thought USPS Priority is cheaper than its FedEx and UPS equivalents.

Funny, USPS is the only carrier at this point not to have lost a package (or two) for me. I still like Priority Mail for shipping to other side of the country since it's heck of a lot faster and usually cheaper than going with FedEx or UPS Ground. Lack of tracking is still annoying though. My in-laws works/worked for USPS and they still lament the fact the USPS screwed up and missed the boat on becoming THE carrier service in the country.
swt61 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Jacob, it states right in the small print that there's an upcharge for body parts.
Salt Peanuts Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 Jacob, it states right in the small print that there's an upcharge for body parts. And no insurance either since they'd be classified as "perishables."
grawk Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 SOG multitool that includes wire strippers for $39 from Woot Announcement
tyrion Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Thanks for the heads up. I just bought one as well.
ronnielee54 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 I just bought a vintage tuner at the second hand store. Damn, if that is vintage, I must really be fucking old.
