Knuckledragger Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 2010 Honda Fit Sport Pics or ban! (Not that I can ban anyone.)
Salt Peanuts Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Pics or ban! (Not that I can ban anyone.) Hopefully Friday, as that's when I'll be picking it up. As much as I'll miss my Civic, it'll be nice to have a car with usable cargo space for a change.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Yeah, if the Fit had existed when I got my last car (2004), it would have been my first choice. I much prefer hatchbacks, and don't know how to drive a stick (Civic hatchback doesn't come in automatic any more).
Salt Peanuts Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 (edited) I played with Fit's Magic Seat system before making the purchase and it was neat to see how much cargo space they really squeezed into the tiny car. It'll also be nice to be able to put in a car seat for my daughter - my old Civic was a 2-door and using a car seat with it would've been difficult. Edited June 16, 2010 by Salt Peanuts
Knuckledragger Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Did you hear about Haj? He had a fit this week. I'll get my coat Today all I have purchased is two more years of registration of Primate Lighting. Dotster kind of blows.
Voltron Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 (edited) Eddie Current Transcription Amplifier phono stage. My Mayberry rig will now be Craig Uthus from source to speakers: Dual TT > Eddie Current TA > Moth 300B Paradigm Amplifier > Moth Cicadas. I just need to wrestle that Moth DAC away from Craig sometime and I could add the digital side into the Uthus mix. Purchased the TA from JP who already has seller's remorse even though he hasn't shipped it yet. Edited June 16, 2010 by Voltron
GPH Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 I didn't buy it, but a fancy throwback richard jersey showed up in my mailbox from china today... Is that your humiliation jersey? Need moar pics!
mrarroyo Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 A 1TB WD external USB HD to back up the iMac.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 2TB external drive from Western Digital. Why the hell are externals cheaper than OEM internal drives? cheaper? -- or did you mean WD specifically?
Dusty Chalk Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 3 Perfume Tree CD's, apparently. (My apologies to anyone on here I outbid.)
aardvark baguette Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 cheaper? -- or did you mean WD specifically? WD drives. (I'm making the assumption they are using the 'green' drive in the external). The OEM drive on amazon was at least $15 more. This is just something to keep at the office, so an external will do. I am delaying upgrading drobo drives as long as possible. Hopefully I can hold off for 3tb models.

moray james Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 A new turntable and tonearm made by Rauna of Sweden (Rauna of Sweden) you can google translate. Linear tracking mechanical arm, inverted TT bearing. Have yet to get set up and running. Soon.
aardvark baguette Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Cow Tales Planters Sweet N Crunchy Peanuts Nerds CapriSun edit: oh and a box of sharpies, and a $10 casio watch. Just a bunch of random shit.
Ben Gramain Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 I can tell you something I've definitely bought the last of: Dell. Apple makes shit across their entire range, but it's shit supported by a smile. Sony's support is biblically shit, but their gear mostly isn't. Dell gear doesn't always suck for sure... but when Dell does shit flagships, it's just shit on shit. I am defo not darkening their doors for a loooooong time.
Ben Gramain Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 sony gear mostly not shit? funny jokes are funny. Oh yeah, I was referring to the Made in Japan flagships. I don't know what the situation is for the bottom-feeder machines which gets Sony their poor rep.
Nebby Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 i've never seen a Sony computer that was made in Japan, high end or low end, and i've seem plenty of them. i've also never seen a Sony laptop that had a reasonable cooling system, but that's common enough. Nowadays you have to go to Japan to find them and even then they're few and far between.
aardvark baguette Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 I am delaying upgrading drobo drives as long as possible. Hopefully I can hold off for 3tb models. Came home to a dead drive today. So I swiped a 1tb seagate from my seed box to replace it. Not stoked about re-build time.
Dusty Chalk Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 'bout $300 in cat food and kitty litter (for three cats)
deepak Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 A new turntable and tonearm made by Rauna of Sweden (Rauna of Sweden) you can google translate. Linear tracking mechanical arm, inverted TT bearing. Have yet to get set up and running. Soon. Very nice! Salvatore's review of the Nantais Lenco makes me really want to do something with my L75 or buy a few more as backups \
luvdunhill Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Buy more. I started buying them in the midst of the first big price hike. At least get one with the nicer idler wheel (the metal one with more than two holes).
manaox2 Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 New portable rig to replace 1GB shuffle and KSC75 with 4GB Clip+: Senn PX-100-II Kingston Class 4 8GB microsdhc Cheapest audio excitement I've had in a while.
shellylh Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I like everything about the 8GB Sansa Clip+ (plus 8GB microsdhc) except the short battery life and time it takes to "refresh the media" every time I turn it on. It is nice and small and cheap though.
