Dreadhead Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 I can almost guarantee I will not do that. Read the manual etc. If you have a MIDI hookup: I was thinking of doing things that automatically set it up through MIDI but I've currently been too lazy.
swt61 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 I think it'd be useful to mic your room, and find out where the anomalies are. If it has that capability anyway. I like spectrum analyzers for that purpose. In either case EQs are fun to play with. You can even make Wayne Newton sound like he has testicles.
Dreadhead Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 And about $250 in other stuff to keep me warm in 40 degree F temperatures this Saturday when I attempt to ride 100km (Metric century) in the Shenandoah National Forest. Also bought some high end cycling shoes but I'm going back and forth on them.

It even does automatic room EQ all you need is a mic You can get a calibrated ECM8000 here: Cross·Spectrum - Calibrated Behringer ECM8000 Microphones for Sale The guy running the place is really nice though he usually has quite a back log and entering the calibrated curve into the EQ can take some time. It really improved the sound of my stereo in my less than ideal room though it also showed me that I really need a sub because I was entirely unable to produce any real energy below 50Hz.
swt61 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Nice gear Dread. I miss my biking days in Alaska. So many good trails up there, and not one here. Plus I swear people aim their vehicles at bicycles down here.

Plus I swear people aim their vehicles at bicycles down here. It's amazing considering what dicks people are to other cars around here (DC metro) but the road riding is actually pretty excellent and most cars are great. There are a few dicks but even then they aren't that bad. I just hope it doesn't snow on Saturday. It's supposed to snow and then rain all day and never go above 45. Just the weather you want to spend 5 hours on a skinny tired road bike in.

Plus I swear people aim their vehicles at bicycles down here. Just realized that I didn't encourage you to find a group ride and get spinning again. That way the drivers tend to be nicer (there would be witnesses). They can't be as bad as this dude:California road-rage case heads for court - VeloNews

Dreadhead Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 ^ HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YES! :prettyprincess: My cross bike needs to wait until next season for my wallet to recover enough to buy something I'll want long term. Planning to do cross or for something else?
Hopstretch Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 lettered edition of Tim Powers - On Stranger Tide Nice. One of my favorites.

grawk Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 I got the $5 2 pack of watches today. $5 is a fair price One of them came without a buckle on the clasp. They look ok, but nothing special, and very small. I'm sure my kid will like it.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 I'm guessing he left out "...17th..."?
grawk Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Those have a very "I like to be tied up" vibe to them
Dusty Chalk Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Those have a very "I like to be tied up...and still know what time it is" vibe to them.
Salt Peanuts Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Does paying a speeding ticket count as buying something?
Fitz Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Sure, you're buying the right to stay out of jail.
penger Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 This looks like something drug dealers would carry in their pockets...
Hopstretch Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 Although they probably wouldn't roll in a '98 Civic. EDIT: Snap etc.
