n_maher Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Are you planning to drive them with the TA-10?
GPH Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Are you planning to drive them with the TA-10? Not ideal, I know, but for now yes.
n_maher Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Not ideal, I know, but for now yes. I was just curious, not passing judgment. May be a crackerjack of a little K1k amp, who knows?
GPH Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I was just curious, not passing judgment. May be a crackerjack of a little K1k amp, who knows? I did find this review, but I'm not familiar with the reviewer. He says some resistors should be placed on the outputs to be used with the K1000 because the TA-10 is a tripath amp, any opinion on that?
n_maher Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 No real concrete opinion no, but the resistors could be being used to help the amp see a load that it is comfortable driving. Someone much smarter than me is required here.
cetoole Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I cant imagine the output filter on a tripath amp works too well into a 120ohm impedance load, considering that it is designed for probably 8ohm. No idea if there are other issues, but this is certainly one, especially since I am pretty sure the tripath amps dont include said filter within their feedback loop.
morphsci Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 AD2K. Curiosity kills the cat. It sounded pretty good out of the BA at CanJam.
Aura Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 It sounded pretty good out of the BA at CanJam. Something to look forward to for November 7th eh?
morphsci Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Something to look forward to for November 7th eh? Persactly!
Sherwood Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 The trends is a pretty decent K1000 amp, though running it with resistors seems to be highly recommended. I enjoyed that very combo for months before I had the F1, and still do occasionally.

voodoochile Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Replacement headband pad and earpads for my senns. The headband pad was shot, but the earpads didn't seem too bad- until I got the new pair and compared them. They feel like new now, only nice and broken in at the same time.
Dusty Chalk Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Remember, it's Oh-poe. Just wanted to confirm this -- they left me a voice mail (when I gave them my PO Box to ship to), and introduced themselves as "OH-poe digital". So there...definitive answer.
