The Monkey Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Thanks everyone for the tips in the HD800 thread about hiding/explaining boxes. I'll be putting them to use soon. We don't know what you're talking about.
Hopstretch Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 You don't need to see his credit card statement. These aren't the components you're looking for. He can go about his business.
penger Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Just picked up a used Rockhopper M3 w/ stepped attenuator. Still needs to get here, but debating whether or not a S11 would be a good idea.
Knuckledragger Posted June 6, 2009 Report Posted June 6, 2009 Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135mm F/3.5 portrait lens. M42 mount, multicoaded (red markings.) The most desirable iteration, and I got it for about the going rate ($125). In spite of its ancient optical design and rather slow maximum aperture, the this is a muchly loved lens. It is prized for its razor sharpness even wide open, and sublime bokeh. That said, I'm am an IDIOT for impulse buying yet another manual focus 135mm prime. This makes ...four that I own, with one more that I want. There's a Russian made Tair 11A 135mm F/2.8 auction ending soon. It has a 22 blade aperture. That's more than even my behemoth Myer Optic Orestor 300mm F/4, which has a paltry 19 blades. EDIT: I just bought the Tair:

guzziguy Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Headroom Ultra DAC I really liked the music listening to HeadRoom's balanced HD 800 and their Ultra stack. So this looks like a good purchase to me. If I needed a DAC, I'd call dibs on it.
The Monkey Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Headroom Ultra DAC oooh! I'm probably right behind you. I want detailed notes....
tyrion Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 oooh! I'm probably right behind you. I want detailed notes.... I would love to get the amp as well but I need to slow down and I don't need it. I bought the DAC so I would not lose out on the 15% off.
Hopstretch Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 20% for BUDA + DAC together, if anyone's on the fence.
grawk Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 dinny, just buy it, and if you don't like it, return it
