Fitz Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 2nd pair, later production to compare to my earlier production over an extended period of time. Timing was amazingly good as I actually have funds for it at the moment, but I doubt I'll be able to afford keeping it indefinitely.
Duggeh Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 But you will be able to keep the one you like moar!
Duggeh Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Can we make bets? Old with PCB Old without PCB New with PCB New without PCB Although it'll probably end up being something like "New with old PCB"
cetoole Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 MB Quart QP805 and Gillette slim adjustable, '67 vintage. Dont have the first one yet, but the second arrived yesterday. Dang, its nice, thought I had messed up or something this morning, because it didnt feel like I was actually cutting hairs.
Dusty Chalk Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 MB Quart QP805 ...Nice trying to sneak that by us...
cetoole Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Nice trying to sneak that by us... Dang, cant sneak anything by Dusty. Ah well, at least they were cheap at 12 squids for a new pair. Shipping them across the pond will bring it up a bit, but not too bad as they are not traveling alone.
NoValidTitle Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 It's a 2.0L DOHC 4 cyl. with variable valve timing. Mine has a 6-speed manual and limited slip diff. 166 hp and 140 lb. ft. of torque. Not bad in a 2500 lb. car. Grats on that car man, I test drove a Mazda Speed Miata a few years ago and looooved it.

Dang, its nice, thought I had messed up or something this morning, because it didnt feel like I was actually cutting hairs. I shaved with one of those back in '67. Minus the razor though, I was only 6. But my Dad would take the blade out and put shaving cream on my face. I'm sure it entertained me quite well. And IIRC I always had a baby smooth face back then.
aardvark baguette Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I just shaved today, first time since last weekend. Ouch.
Dreadhead Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I forgot one: Earlier this week I got my first seersucker suit Sweet!

Dreadhead Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) I'll get my wife to take one on Sunday. I wear a suit or blazer and slacks to work every workday and JosABank had it on sale for $99 so I figured what the heck (of course I had to spend at least $60 on tailoring but life goes on) Or I could wear it to CanJam? Edited April 24, 2009 by Dreadhead
swt61 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Or I could wear it to CanJam? With matching headphones?
Dreadhead Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 With matching headphones? Where? I must .... have .... seersucker headphones!
Hopstretch Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 With matching headphones? They'd have to be built into a Panama hat.

Dreadhead Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 They'd have to be built into a Panama hat. I was thinking a straw one was the only thing that would do. : http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=326&Product_Code=473F&Parent_Id=228&CMP=AFC-NU4859254343 No way in hell I'd pay that much though.
Nebby Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Wasn't last thing I bought, but showed up today:
luvdunhill Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Wasn't last thing I bought, but showed up today: If anyone is still interested in these, Chris is doing another GB IIRC.
Hopstretch Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I was thinking a straw one was the only thing that would do. : Brooks Brothers | Men | Scarves, Hats & Gloves | Boater Hat No way in hell I'd pay that much though. We had to wear boaters as part of the uniform at my prep school. These were known as "bashers", presumably because the first thing the seniors would do when you got there as a new boy was punch a fist through the crown. I think a pork pie would be a little less jolly-hockey-sticks.
Nebby Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Good heads up, I didn't realize he was doing another GB that included the panels. Definitely going to pickup some of the panels.
grawk Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 link to the GB? Those are good enough for an F5, right?
