mypasswordis Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Mmm, old Audio Technica woodies are pretty good looking. I just bought a Jecklin Float Electrostatic, go figure.
Fitz Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Didn't buy it, but I won a pair of Yuin PK1 at the Charlotte meet. The guy who has minimal use for portable earphones wins it, go figure.
naamanf Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Scanspeak 15W Revelators Vifa XT25 tweeters
luvdunhill Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Scanspeak 15W Revelators Vifa XT25 tweeters Have you tried any of the aluminum cone SS or the titanium former SS drivers? I cannot imagine they are worth the money... I'm just telling myself that... and the fact that I've taking up an expensive habit with Audio Technology drivers. I really liked the XT25 (I have a single driver for sale cheap if you need something to blow up in a test jig).. it's probably my reference tweeter in that price range. But, I'd definitely suggest trying the Peerless HDS. I just cannot see spending the insane amount of money for things like the SS aircirc or Morel supreme, etc. after playing with the HDS. The only other tweeters that tempted my pocketbook were some of the Hiquphons...

I have not heard the metal SS drivers, but I really like the revs. If you want to try a metal-ish speaker take a look at the ATD Hypergraph Ti. Great speaker but not cheap. I do agree that the Vifa is a great little speaker especially considering the price compared to it's SS brothers. But I still love the 7100/7000/6600 and plan to use them at some point in the future for a cost no object speaker. I have heard good things about the HDS and have been meaning to pick up a pair but I just have not got around to it.

Fungi Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 It's damn well about time someone made a stand like that Woo.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 Wireless desk lamp without a lightbulb? I bet you could use it as a headphone stand, though...
aardvark baguette Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 haha, it does actually look like a lamp at the top. I suppose you could put one of those Ikea stick-up lights underneath, too
Grand Enigma Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 hmm wireless lamps... I think I am going to make a few of those. Make the stupid iPod white and label them as an iPod accessory and sell them for hundreds. Can make the upgraded wireless iLamp Pro which has speakers built into the base of the lamps.
Torpedo Posted February 23, 2009 Report Posted February 23, 2009 - Coaxial connectors and wire to make the umbilical from the little Pinkie V2 to the X-Cans V2 which a friend who had them on loan lost. - Felt of 3mm, 6mm, 8mm and 3mm high density to start damping the T30 and see what happens. - A pair of shoes for the wife. She saw them in a shop window and looked so amazed that I couldn't help buying them

JBLoudG20 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 One tire for my bike was $300. Talk about pain.
n_maher Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 One tire for my bike was $300. Talk about pain. You got hosed.
JBLoudG20 Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 You got hosed. Typo. It was $200. $175 plus mount and balance. I tore my bike apart in the shed, so I wouldn't pay a labor fee as well. Even then, It was on the expensive side, but they wanted much more for the mount and balance if I bought the tire elsewhere.

mypasswordis Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 What the hell? I don't know the details, but the wait time is almost on a level with Singlepower. Someone needs to fix his amp, stat. Back on topic: Philips EM 6721
n_maher Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Something I shouldn't have. Oh lord.
